  • looks like they need to recall some Roubaix frames...

  • I WAS WAITING AND WAIITING FOR THE FRAME TO SNAP AND MAKE A HUGE PILE UP OF FAGGOTS IN SPANDEX, BUT DISAPPOINTING VID HAHAHAH

  • I have a twenty year old bridgestone RB-2 made of chromoly steel, it weighs 21.5 pounds, and has hit 40 mph on country roads. Steel is Real.

  • I have an old specialized bike from the 70s or80s it's the crossroads and it's still in one piece it's an awsome bike, I also have an old religh or rolley however it's spelled and that bike is awsome 2! Just need to work onthe gears a lil bit they r kinda messed up.

  • "a whole raft of problems"? ... put anther shrimp on the barby mate- you don't have a clue

  • @danfoz don't think that bloke is an Aussie! Good bikes though, they all have issues at one point or another

  • specialized frames are garunteed foe life if they break u get a new frame free

  • This video is from 2007 - the Roubaix has changed a lot since then. BB much bigger and better carbon.

  • That's one heck of a bike ride =]

  • ok this guy obviously has a personal vendetta against Specialized. It's one thing to mention it for a few seconds then drop the point, but this guy drones on about how much Specialized bikes suck for almost 2 god damn minutes. Yes, some have problems, but I've never know an owner of any high end bike who's had one fall apart in the way this guy is talking about. What an ass.

  • thats because hes commentating for 2~4 hours, when i was watching the tour this year they where discussing windmills for ages.

  • indeed

  • @ShenmueAtheist Well, to play devil's advocate, he later on mentions the point that "they are not alone by the way". At the Trek bicycle factory they have some of the carbon frames Lance cracked. They are pushing the envelope on these things. Basically they keep building 'em and when they stop breaking, that's the design they use. Also consider some of the controversial catastrophic failures in sailboat racing, when their carbon fiber mast cracks in a medium level storm.

  • i have a ten year old hard rock sport thats been ridden hard by two men over six and a half feet tall and with maintenance it still rides like a motherfucker

  • I personally am a Specialized rider. I've owned Giant, Trek, and Fuji. For some reason I just love Specialized, to each is own, good luck on your brands, there's no real top one at all. They're all competitors and good.

  • lol I agree metal is a specialized dick rider. What a Gaymo lamao!!!!!!!!

  • What's with all the brand loyalty? I've had a bianchi, specialized, giant, avanti, trek, cannondale, yeti...yeah, some brands are better than others, but as long as it gets you out riding and having fun - who gives a crap!

  • HAH! If i bought ANY bike, I wouldn't want it to have any problems.

  • they make warrenties and if it has problems it means you are riding it and most comapnies unserstand and will fix it

  • warranties mean nothing if the head tube snaps and your now a quadraplegic.

  • There is s adifference between riding a bike and trying to break it.

  • @nordo81 seriously! props dude

  • ride vintage or custom steel frames.

  • Ya im with dieselcase But I have 2 addmit i boutght a 2007 Specialized hardrock sport and its a really good bike but specialized NEEDS to put better forks on them SERIOUSLY i cracked the crown so bad that the bike shop was going to hang them on the wall

  • Cmon guys it doesnt matter if is a specialized, or a trek, or a giant... Cmon dont lose the spirit of MTB get fun with the friends or with yourself, this guy really dont know how fun is spending some time with his bike

  • guys stop fighting about which bike is best and whats the best material, a bike is a bike, you may spend £5000 of a specialized or a giant etc. But you've still got to pedal the bugger. Ive got a £550 Bianchi and im just as fast in time trials as people on really expensive high tech machines. Its more about the rider than the bike.

  • hahaha Bull shit.

snaping the roubaix. minor cracks in the bottom bracket is not snaping.

and they have a lifetime warrenty on the frames anyway.

    -TD

  • You can tell who works for Specialized in these comments! Are you scare that if you don't post a good comment about the company, Sinyard will have your balls!! I thought so- grow some new balls.

  • I have a 05 Roubiax Pro. 3yrs old, still works well

  • this fotage is from specialized before they introduced the tarmac and the roubaix didn't have zerts, specialized fixed all that

  • specialized bikes kick ass. i have a 08 hardrock pro disc. it is awsome. it is al my parents would buy me. :(

  • yeah specialized sucks. I mean they didn't win the green jersey in the Tour. Oh wait...

  • Who gives a shit about the green jersey. The yellow one is the most important!

  • only sprts bikes not mountain

  • trek? bahhhhhhhhahahahaha

  • trek owns you all losers!!

  • I'd only ride a "Trike" if it was free and even at that, I'd only ride it to ghost ride it off a cliff.Innovate or die bitches!

  • justin686... i completely agree with u. IOD!

  • trek's alright, my first one was great, my last was a different story. I'm converting to specialized this year

  • TheIncridibleOne: Are you Lance Armstrong? Trek = shit. And it takes guts and two balls to win the Green Jersey.

  • PLease tell me you are trolling?

  • Like you would know. For your information, Specialized sponsored teams were riding all-carbon frames on Paris Roubaix when Trek was having wet dreams about that. And the first year that Discovery rode enhanced carbon versions on that race Hincapies's fork broke like a twig.

  • got rid of the demo 9 - built up an SX trail 3 - so fast and very tough...

  • buy a demo 9 n u wont have eny probs

  • ahah hell yea! or a bighit cause its all i can afford :P

  • four links hass been retard, try double pivit dude, and demo is too heavy!

  • what a load of old shit

    ride proper bikes

  • What?

  • right left and center

  • lol carbon 9 times stronger than alu...yeah right

  • im pretty sure theyre talking about road frames gays.

  • dude...i own a SX Trail and the thing is bombproof...i'm saving for a BigHit cause i'm getting into bigger shit and just need more travel but my SX Trail is still the shit and thats why i rep Specialized

  • The SX trail is such a badass bike.

  • Damn right. I built up a SX Trail III. There's nothing it wont do.

  • c'mon

  • wow.......those comments are not nice.........I guess you will not see any specialized sponsoring your show in the forseen future.

  • I got a specialized hard rock disc sport, if it can hold up to me doing 8 foot drops 20 foot gaps and almost 50mph downhills specialized apparently did something rite. A xc bike doing DH, freeride stuff, and STILL WORK, then they must have mads something rite.

  • Their 'cross bikes also make excellent mountain bikes. Check that shit out.

  • ur a nub i hope u break ur face doing a 8 foot jump using xc forks

  • damn man youre pretty heartless. give the guy props for doin shit you couldnt do on a full dh bike on his hardtail. bastard

  • i've been thinking about getting that. i dont like how the cables are exposed at the bottom. i'm thinking of gettin the 08 HRXC or the 07 hardrock disc. which one should i get?

  • get the hardrock disk i have one and they are amazing just replace the stock forks!!!

  • im now the proud owner of an 08 stumpy fsr comp and it rocks!

  • i love my specialized. i married it too.

  • if ur frame brakes ur either a cheap twat who cant afford a proper bike or a fat asshole

  • dude every serious bike rider can brake a frame dumb ass

  • you are a dumbass. a frame can brake because of many different reasons

  • Good point lol.

  • I Ride a specialized s-works carbon Epic and it is the sweetest bike i;ve ever owned, i have had no problems with it at all. go specialized!!!

  • I ride a Specialized Allez, and it's the best bike I've ever owned, aside from my Cannondale :) I have not had one problem. No discrepancies in manufacturing. None.

  • It's not the frame breakage that keeps me from riding a specialized. The fact that they're a bunch of douchebags who attack small companies.

  • um, i'm not sure if you understand how business works, but......yeah that's exactly what good businesses do - it's an eat or be eaten world.

  • You're behind a company that attacks (lawsuit) a much smaller company because they think that "Stumptown" is too close to "Stumpjumper", and should be considered copyright infringement? Mountain Cycle, the maker of the "Stumptown" is based in Portland Oregon. Portland is Stumptown. It's an old nickname. Is that what good businesses do?

  • Actually the small companies are douchebags for copying from Specialized. Did you ask yourself what is the most copied rear shock linkage in the world (hint: fsr).

  • Um yeah. You're super informed.

  • For your information, a mention of a lawsuit towards Mountain Cycle was not in the letter from Specialized (you probably didn't see it though) and there was no actual lawsuit.

  • Which incident are you talking about? Stumpjumper or FSR? If you're handing out information, try being specific. And why so defensive of Specialized? You own stock or something?

  • The Stumpjumper was int the case of Mountain Cycle. The FSR case was against Jamis, Giant and Scott.

  • Go to bikeportland(dot)org. Type "Specialized" and "Stumptown". Look at the first thing that comes up. Then come back and tell me that wasn't a dick move. I'm not saying their bikes are crap. I'm saying they are a bunch of douches. We done yet?
