As cool as this is i'd rather see better recycling ideas and innovation when it comes to what my cereal or anything else for that matter is packaged in. Waste of time really if a cereal box is THEE BEST EXAMPLE they could come up with.
To the naysayers... I guarantee that a flashing cereal box would sell out in every store it was sold in, on the first day. It could be cream of beachsand, and people would still buy it.
@zerotankor aha not at all related...pretty sure a microwave works by vibrating water molecules causing friction and heat, this is electricity and current..
@yaronimus1 Agreed. How does the packaging lighting up make the product any better? It doesn't. Want nutrition facts? Look on the side of the box! Want nutrition facts on your wireless device? It'll take 5 seconds to find them on the internet. What a waste
@yaronimus1 The cereal box was just a demonstration of the possibilities of such technology. They're not actually planning on mass producing flashing cereal boxes. It would be wildly expensive. Don't be stupid.
No one is going to buy 50$ cheerios .

Flashing cereal boxes! What's next? Also is that 'wireless' charger plugged in? Does that not defeat the purpose?

I thought of wireless electricity... Why not send power wirelessly to a computer?
Never have to charge your iPod?
Well... how do you think a microwave works?
Not such a good idea...

how are we supposed to recycle the package when metal is embedded into it?
we don't need this technology because it was not design for constructive and green use. it's just another gizmo we really don't nned.
