  • Hi,

Can you please assist me by providing some way to create controller and enable layout under ZEND in XAMPP?

  • finally I get to learn zend as i got it installed........ LOL

  • Ok I do all steps without any fault but when I put this "zendy/Test" in Google Chrome I see an error message states that "The requested URL /Test was not found on this server.". Why ?

  • @spamitovic85

You need the Apache Module mod_rewrite turned on in the apache webserver config file

  • @spamitovic85

and also the virtualhost zendy in the vhost file from apache webserver

  • @spamitovic85

7:37 You can see the rewrite condition there

  • Man, this is a nice start, thanks a lot for the effort, hope to see more videos from you about this...

    Thanks

  • But what if I want to make a function inside controller that does not respond to any view?

  • @DrQmal Do not put the word Action after it

  • @DrQmal

I think for that you should use models and then construct object from the model inside the controller where needed

  • following your tutorials, but got an issue with the testcontroller , can i ask you for some help ?

  • Good tutorial, learnt a few things. But setting the APPLICATION_ENV should be done with the help of vhosts. So that you have different life cycle stages connected to different ports. Take a look at the README.txt in your ZendProjekt docs folder.

  • @Neiko2002 Thanks man that may be a better route to go

  • @Neiko2002 Thanks man that may be a better route to go, i dont like messing with the vhosts a lot thats why i do it in the htaccess so it feels like im work entirely in the ZF project

  • @JREAMdesign I know what you mean, it can become confusing if you work in a team and not all team member have the same vhosts configuration. Both ways have the pros and cons. The vhost version might be better bigger project where you have to follow specific guidelines and life cycles.

  • thank you for the tutorials, please make more zend framework 1.11 tutorials

  • Somehow you were the one man who successfully convinced me to start learning Zend after 3-4 years. Thank you!

  • @noherczeg Haha only that long!

  • @noherczeg me too

  • Just great! Hoping there is more from you about this.

  • Requesting more photoshop tutorials :)
