What was weird about that question was that I liked Thompson and Paul's answers even though they seemed so different. We invaded Iraq because in the 1970s Saddam Hussein started nationalizing the Oil! The US tried to get the Shah to invade Iraq and bring down Saddam, but the 1979 Revolution happened! The whole time, US n Iraq are "Allies" and the US secretly give Weapons to both sides to the Iraq-Iran War! When both countries were very weak, Saddam tried to invade Kuwait for their Oil! US gave them the OK, then invaded them!

The reason we took Saddam out now and not in 89 was because of the fear of Shi'a power in Iraq n influence from Iran! Saddam the whole time was killing the Shi'a population!
