I've always hated how the claws seem to be closer to the fingers (like in the movies) instead of coming out of the top of the hand like in the comics. maybe set them an inch back to make room for the bases that are placed on the gloves and make the claws a bit thinner and less dagger like? Plus make them a bit longer since they are stored in the forearm before muscles push them out of the top of the hands. There's bone under that adamantium.
pretty decent, ive been thinking about trying out this effect myself... not settled on how to do it quite yet, but im thinking of shooting, pulling my footage into Maya and animating the claws there and just alphaing out the BG in AAE later.. what did you use for your claws?
The claws are aluminum, I just held them up and took a still of them alone, filmed myself making the hand movement with out the claws...cut out the background in Photoshop and put them over top of the video of my hand...used a simple whipe effect to make it look like they are coming out, and of course the sound is what brings it all together
