  • AUTOMATIC percolators were yesterday's equivalent of a home computer- they were THE item to have!!!

  • Curse Sir Walter Raleigh!"He was such a stupid git".

  • @trashiscool1 Then maybe you should get up and have yourself a drink!

  • if you could clip -n-save 10,000 coupons from the packs you could send in for a nicely appointed coffin. lol

  • @ensgavry Yep! Your own flip-top box!

  • Philip Morris sponsored "I LOVE LUCY" from 1951 through '55, 'Landon'. After their sponsorship ended, Desilu was able to produce commercials for other cigarette manufacturers- like Brown & Williamson's "Raleigh" [through their ad agency Keyes, Madden & Jones]. That's Marvin Miller announcing these 1958 spots; at the time, he was also appearing as "Michael Anthony" on Colgate-Palmolive's "THE MILLIONAIRE".

  • @fromthesidelines To this day I'm still waiting for him to give me my million-dollar check.

  • OMG~ I love watching these old cigarette commercials BUT~ the sales pitches the tobacco companies used to get you to smoke are seriously tragic.....

  • @teceyS3 Indeed. But now that we all know better, we can all enjoy the naivetity and quaintness of these commercials. My own personal favorites are the Viceroys (qv).

  • it's goog they did give coupons because thats the only way they would sell these cigaretts........they awful tasting
