and guys, please, batons are made to hit people, not WALLS..even the cheapest made batons can break bones..it's made of steel..i tried this several times..yes it will bend when you hit it in a wall but on a persons bones, it will give that person a hell lot of pain..i'm not encouraging you to buy the cheap ones though..check this baton "RCB Peacekeeper"..ASP and Monadnock..those three are the best..

i have this one too..it's made from china..yeah it's crappy..it wiggles everytime..and you have to swing it very hard to fully extend the baton..but the point is, it's made of steel!! bring a pepper spray with it and it will be a good combination for self-defense..spray, hit then run..if you want to get a little dirty and you feel a lot confident, hit the attacker many times until the baton breaks..hahaha

I agree with 9668markgibson it more about how you use a tool than the tool itself but if it brakes on the first strike then your left with nothing. The point being If you are going to take a chance on a cheap SD weapon than you need a back up just in case.

This isnt bad for the money you paid, but i have a 26" ASP police baton and im glad i paid the money i did, it cost around 80$ total with shipping&handling, yes thats quite a bit but i hit things with it hard and it never bent or dented at all, and they come with a lifetime warrenty for any damage aqquired on it. Although i wouldnt recommend 26"inches i find it too long and the balance isnt as great as a 21" but im looking to buy a 16" for concealability.

You pay for quality, if you have ever owned a ASP baton which obviously you havent you'd see that they are far more than just a steel pipe. ASP batons are highly and skillfully temper 1050 Carbon steel, with either friction lock or autolock and the friction lock is designed for best lock, and easiest release for minimum effort. There type of steel and tempering process gives them a vast amount of stregth compared to average steel and are given lifetime warrenty for any damage . Which this dosnt.

But there is a difference and the price is there for a reason, you pay for a sturdier, stronger, more reliable peice of equiptment that is built to last and stay strong in just about any situation. You should do some homework before you try and make an arrgument. Even if, in the end your going to lose anyway.

Thats not a ASP Baton, ASP is the best, Monadnock Autolock batons are good and Casco batons but ASP is better quality as they are the only batons that are 4140 heat treatred steal instead of standard 4130.
