THe pedal by itself sucks. IF you need a digitech bad monkey to make it sound like that, then it should tell you that the pedal is shit. I had and it lacks balls. Its just dull stuffy distortion when setting the ISP dial more up

This sounds better to me than the krank amp vid where the guy demoing it sounds like he stuck in fender classic rock riffery lol. More heavy. Kinda reminds me of strapping young lads tone on the chuggin part.

hey, i have this pedal, and i also got a ts 808, you said you use this with a bad monkey which is basicly a tube screamer clone, i never tried that combo. i def will ,but already i am worried about the noise floor issues, no hum or white noise with those 2 pedals at the same time, what are your bm settings, must have low drive but high level yes?

Hello , yes.. thats correct , few drive and lots of level...but for these type of sounds use a NS..or a gate...i use to work with the one from BOSS gt6! GREAT. But , in fact i did not use so much gain on the Blackstar you know..I based my sound in Paul Gilberts sound ( but with more sustain and mids) and the heavy bottom sound its made by the tunning! drop C - its that simply.

Thanks to all for the comments :) . I use the Ht and Bad Monkey together , and the gt-6 is only for effects..like delay , chorus and wah wah...no eq or anything else coming from gt6. Just Eq from the pedals and the amp , and almost flat on it.

people , like i have said before.EVERYTHING is important to achieve a certain type of sound...the pedal doesnt make a miracle..it is just the "main font" to create this sound..but the PU its important, the tunning its important, the speakers are important , the tubes/solid state is important.and even yhe way you pick it is important...like ive said before i use this pedal with a BAD MONKEY and a GT6 for efects.see my other video "LIGAÇAO BOSS GT6" to have a look at my pedal board.

very true. running the best guitar in the world through a cheap ss practice amp wont sound very good at all, and the same goes with a wal-mart first act through a dual rectifier. and a pedal wont magically make your $100 starter package sound orgasmic. your rig is only as good as the weakest link

i just want to say to everyone : THANKS FOR THE COMMENTS . I no longer play guitar , or anything..i was very ,very tired of the musical cene in portugal and how people look at it... A piece of advice to anyone want a good guitar sound. LESS GAIN = MORE POWER!! Too much gain "wraps" your guitar defenition..use a lower tunning,practise your handpick,USE MIDS , and most important , DONT TRY TO SOUND LIKE THESE OR THAT , USE YOUR EARS AND HANDS TO ACHIEVE WHAT YOU EAR IN YOUR MIND. thanks guys

Just the speakers...but distorcion comes from the BLACKSTAR , not from VK.

That was redorded with my cellphone ( crappy sound).

If your only change is the new set of speakers, and you are getting the VK to sound like that, there is only one thing I can do...
