nice,My friends and i are currently making a trebuchet as well. The base is 4 ft long and 2 feet wide and is 4 feet tall...how long should i have my arm???
@TheB2Pilot, Ok i built one of these before, heres how it works: A Trébuchet is a medeval french catapult, what happens is you get one side which is shorter than the other, the shorter end gets some sort of box with some weight in it. It actually depends on the length of the "fling arm" and the amount of weight that is put in to the box that depicts the projectile of the object in the pouch. Now there is also a dependency on the length of the string of the pouch,
For the record, I was just the videographer. My father, a retired engineer, deserves all the credit for building it with him! If I built it, it would have fired the ball backwards, toppled over, and set the cars on fire. ;)
U guys did a good job on it.
