Any word on Harris's defense....is it any good? D-will wasn't a great defender, and I'd certainly sacrifice a few assists a game average for good defense. Also I think being in an actual system with guys like AK, Milsap and Jefferson will only help Harris become better. Too bad Jerry isn't still coaching to coach both Harris and favors.

The Mavs shouldn't have ever traded Devin Harris to the Nets. J-Kidd is a good player and all, but this kid was really starting to develop. Harris was the same guy who helped the Mavs to the NBA Finals in 2006. I think it was Mark Cuban's move (big mistake). Now, Harris is lighting it up in New Jersey. Nice.

You would think so ... however I think Harris was the better choice because he was young and developing; able to run the floor well, working on his defense, & improving his shooting/court vision. You don't want to give talent like that away. They already had a core to work around Nowitzki, Howard and JT. I would've rather tried to trade others like Dampier or Devean George in the Jason Kidd than Harris. I think Jason Kidd is good, but he didn't seem to fit with Dallas. I'm used to him now.

Harris is not a better leader then Kidd, and kidd is a all star caliber type player, he can play D well he can guard players from the 1 to the 3. Their core you speak of had no playmakers, and i dont think its possible the Nets would have wanted anyone else besides harris. Kidd didnt fit well in dallas because he didnt have much slashers. The only player thriving playing with kidd was dampier. but now they added marion and i think they are gonna be really good now.

I didn't say Harris was a better leader than Kidd; I said he was a better fit. Kidd was on the decline before he arrived in Dallas, but then he started to pick his game back up. Nowitzki and Howard didn't need to make plays because they can create their own shot; it isn't their job as frontcourt players to make plays for others, although it would help. Believe it or not, Jason Terry is a decent PG; he has made plays before. But yeah, Marion should be a good addition to the squad.

He's not really a point guard he shoots and scores to much.He just happens to play that position because of his height and from his skill set he can do a lot but he ain't no point guard. Rondo, Williams, Paul, Rose, Calderon those are PG's.Harris is a scorer that happens to play point cus he can handle the ball.He's good though and one of the rising stars of the league but he plays for a terrible team so we'll see if he can have success or be just another guy that can score 20+ a game

Alright... Whatever yo. I'm not hating on Devin Harris. Dude's one of the most talented players in the league for a reason.

All I'm saying is if you compare Harris to what Kidd has done in New Jersey, that's near impossible to outdo. Kidd led the Nets to the Finals back in '03 and throughout his career, is still one of the smartest players on the floor. Harris has a lot to prove but he's still nice with it.
