Ryan rules. And to have the honor of playing with Emmylou...wow! I'm in a band, and play live...I probably would've felt like puking, too. She's awesome, in every way. Kudos to Ryan and Emmylou. That's the best version of "Return of the Grievous Angel" I've ever heard, and I've heard a bunch.
Obviously he was in awe of her and was overcome w/ nervousness. A tabloid would take this out of context with a headline like: "Ryan says that Emmylou's singing makes him want to vomit"
Clearly it's because he was nervous. If you have played live and your nervous you can feel sick to the stomach! If you didn't understand that, then im surprised that you can read this!!!
no matter what ryan does in the future i wish him all the health&happiness!! he gave the world (or at least the ones lucky enough to have discovered him) some of the most incredible music ever made!! he truly is up there with the greatest artists of all time!! i consider him to be the bob dylan of his generation!! i feel blessed to have been lucky enough to have discovered him!! i equally love him solo & with the cardinals!! he's given his fans so much!!
I guess i still don't understand why you called the interview (or a 30 second clip of an interview) worthless. Emmylou is wonderful, um, and, uh, that's kind of what he's saying.
I guess using the word vomit is a clumsy way to express one's appreciation. I can't imagine someone telling someone else they admire, "You are so special you make me want to vomit."
there both friends he wasnt direspecting her or anything...btw he's not a nobody. he's one of the most prolific songwriters out there today. if you like emmlou and gram parsons, then buy ryans jacksonville city nights album. youd love it
@waltztherock What is stuck up your ass? You have never even heard his music. This guy is talented. Go talk shit somewhere else, since you obviously have nothing to do except post comments on youtube that are a waste of space. You don't have to type every thought that tumbles through your seemingly simple brain. But I'm bringing myself down to your level now. I'll leave it at that.
I think he was using vomit it a "good" way ... that it was kind of overwhelming to be singing with her. That's may take on it. Obviously, he admires/respects her or he wouldn't have had her sing on his album(s).
