you deff dont spend more for the gun its what maybe 400 and change for the t9.1 depending on the set up you get it in thats right around the amount for a good sold marker speedball your looking even more money for the markers id rather spend 400 then 200 then add on 500 more $ on the shit to make it good and on top of that your spending less on paint its just an all around better dicision for people not wanting to spend to much to play
@HyP3rxMiTchXx0 The only reason they exist is for less lethel defense. Same with the water filled balls, and pepperball's (look it up) are all meant for personal defense.
@HyP3rxMiTchXx0 hah, just heard back from a frien, he's machining rifled barrels for .68cal paintball.. turns out it takes a different kinda rifling to get these damn things to spin.. Kinda.. like the apex system BT had.. but integral to the barrel.. sweet, try em out this summer
@KillerMonkey27 dude if you are even asking that question something is wrong... get the t9, it's one of the best guns on the market. Delta elite is garbage, but if you'll put quality behind you just to get full auto fire rate then really it's your choice in the end. SRSLY though I used to have a Bt-4 ERC with board upgrade, red dot, 20" barrel, bipod, the works. I'm now running a t8 (not even the 8.1) with the MP7 shroud and some other really cools stuff. T8 is waaaaaaaaaay better!!!!!!
@ddevilxdude t9 will get you dead in a paintball game, I've watched them, guy counts 8 rounds, rush's him while he's reloading.
I'm not saying its a bad gun, for a secondary I'd carry one, but I carry over 1000 rounds, so, using a t9 as a primary in game is just stupid when everyone else can put over 200 balls on you without reloading..
Hey Mike, would you recommended the Ranger for a first time buyer or would you say you say to chose something like the dp G4? For a mid-range player who normally plays woodsball?

Hey Mike, would you recommended the Ranger for a first time buyer or would you say you say to chose something like the dp G4? For a mid-range player who normally plays woodsball?
@apieceomeat they shoot 20-30 fps higher than normal paintballs, if you chrono premiums at 290 then you switch to first strike rounds for the game, your liable to break someones mask
@Me102288 and my jt shoots 400 fps. what he meant is that without changing the pressure you will get an increase of somewhere around 30 fps when you change between regular paintballs and first strike rounds, so you need to chrono with which ever you are going to use in game
@TheCaveman101 no, the apex is designed to put spin on a circular paintball. the first strike is a more bullet shaped and has curved fins sits already spinning. using an apex on the first strike would put a second spin on the ball making the paintball look like a football thrown by someone whos never even seen a football before, making the first strike round a POS. I don't even know why you would try in the first place since the FS rounds have a 500 ft range anyway
@bgrv st stands for "standard" and FS stands for "First Strike", meaning out of the box it can shoot first strike, whereas the ST you need a conversion kit
how do you pull the spring down so easy on the mags i just got mine and the spring creates friction on the metal and makes it almost impossible to pull down with ur thumb
I've found that the t9.1 doesn't chop paint from mags, but with an electronic hopper I can get up to 9 balls a second with no chops. I prefer to use mags because you can get hight fire rates with no chops. The only problem is the mags don't last long, but hey, they just came out with a 14 round mag extender.
I own a t9 and thinking about buying the first strike kit.
The only concern i have is the situation that it has when ejecting mags, it always has about 2 paintballs that don't release with the mag. One in the chamber, one just pops out.
Here's where I'm getting at: If i wanted to switch from first strike to hopper fed with the twist of the barrel, would it bust my first strike round left in the chamber?
my friend has a t9 and has been having serious chopping issues we believe its do too his gravity hopper but we are not positive and on know or have any ideas ?
@Spetsnaz0o1 it was custom draxxus paint and i believe he was chrono'd at 290 he isnt trying to achieve a crazy fire rate but anymore than 5 balls a second chops
The sickest thing is regular paintballs can barely reach 300 feet, if you get a hit and break at that distance your in gods grace, but the first strike rounds can easily hit and break at 400, and will break pretty often at 500 feet!! it's more like 300 feet more range because being a damn good long baller my range is 200-250 where i'll get you out most the time, but the first strike is insane!!!!

SO wouldnt that mean youre gonna be hitting your target with exponential accuracy. therefore Since you are hitting people with more accuracy, you can just run around and one shot people= less paint use= saving money.
Just got a T9.1 Ranger, in the manual it says to use a different magazine spring for first strike rounds. I quote "The silver spring is designed for use with traditional .68 cal paintballs. While the red spring can be used with traditional .68 cal paintballs, its higher tension increases the risk of the paintballs deforming over time." Has anyone you know tested this?
Is this a good gun even if i don't plan on buying first strike rounds? How does it compare to all the tippmanns and other scenario/milsim guns as far as normal paintballs?
They do not compare in the terms of rapid firing. My T9 tends to become a blender if I put a force feed hopper on it. I installed an extra trigger (2 total) spring to make it harder to rapid fire.
hey i was wondering, what do you think about the scope that came with the T9? i saw that you replaced your stock scope with that ACOG. why? its it a bad scope? too much zoom? was it sturdy? could it take a direct lens hit from a paintball?
@paintballtechpb sweet maybe in the future i'll buy one from you when i can afford to resume my passion for being on the field & playing with my fellow peer's.
In addition to the 12gram and the remote line adapter for the magazine, there is also a tank adapter for a Tiberius magazine. I was looking on ANS gear the other day and came across it on the tiberius accessories page. You should do a review on it :) btw great vid
srry if this is a dumb question but where can i actually buy one of these i went to the tiberius arms website and it just shows me the gun nothing tells me where i can buy
should i buy the t9 or just get a t8 pistol? what is the difference besides the fact that the t9 is also a rifle. can i use a remote line and hopper feed on the t8? someone who knows what they are talking about plzz reply thnx.
hey i couldnt watch the entire show so what threads does the t9 accept or can you only use the barrel on it because that gun should be sick with a long barrel
hey quick question, did you get around the same FPS when using the first strike rounds and normal paintballs? or was there a dramtic difference? its kinda difficult to read the chronograph
the aerodynamics of the FS rounds are much better compared to a regular paintball. if you going to be shooting the FS rounds you should rechrono your gun. plus the skirt makes the round spin making the round faster while also stabilizing the round. its kinda like a musket compared to a rifle
i love the move the barrel concept. u can literally snipe with FS rounds, then if they catch up to u and u need to let out more shots, just twist the barrel and u've got tht whole hopper just for them!
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
I would never use those round's because they only have half the paint.... People can easily say i didnt get hit or wipe especially from a really far distance. 75 cent's a round!!!! FUCK THAT
Ive been thinking about getting a T9 ever since the first strike round launched but was iffy on compatibility of normal .68 and first strike on the same platform but you just about have me sold on one!
One question i have is it possible to change over from hopper fed .68 to mag fed first strike without removing the loader and paint.
Basically while loaded will the barrel twist to mag fed without chopping paint? Curious for in-game conversion to marksman.
I'm just a little confused. Whats the difference between the T8 and T9? Is the T8 JUST a pistol? When I search for the T9, all I get is pictures of one with all sorts of attatchments. I'm only getting pistols for the T8.
I'm not understanding the safety concern. Maybe someone can explain it to me. 300 fps is 300 fps regardless of whether it is a paintball or a first strike round right? So how would it come out of the barrel faster? It is more aerodynamic meaning it will go farther with the same force as a regular paintball but that doesn't mean it is faster. That's what chronographs are for.
@xKIMMLEx thank you! and the tail fins arent dangerous BECAUSE THEY KEEP THE PAINTBALL FROM TURNING AROUND IN THE AIR. thats what their for, all they do is make it spin like a football for greater distance and accuracy.
@IMeTaLxMiLiTiAI But that is why you chrono. Just like I said before 300 fps is 300 fps. Just because it can go faster do to being more aerodynamic does not mean it has to.
@xKIMMLEx i think that they do is since they take longer to slow down than .68 paintballs do, fs rounds give the illusion that they are going faster, because its impossible for them to go faster once they get shot
First strikes only work through a mag, as they have a front end and a back end. The mag feeds them in only facing forwards. Hoppers work because no matter which way a paintball is facing, it's still a sphere, but with first strike, that's not the case.
Hitting someone from point blank ( <10 feet) with a first strike would be no different than a regular paintball since even a standard round ball isn't going to slow down over that distance either, so I wouldn't expect any safety concerns at all.
Only 3? That's unfortunate, considering they would more then triple that number if the price was reasonable, not to mention how many fields that have banned the first strike round.
Prove to me that fields have banned first strike rounds and then maybe I'll believe you. And yeah, for being at a local field 3 people using them is a lot, not to mention the thousands of others that must be purchasing the rounds because if it was such a dead end product they would have discontinued it by now but they haven't because people ARE buying them.
@CollinKirkbride Why would i say it without knowing? All the fields i play at in my region do not allow first strike rounds to be used. Maybe there are a few thousand people using first strike but me and the hundreds of paintballers i play with regularly all agree if they lowered the price we'd all invest in the round. Just my .02
Agreed but I'm just saying, right now they've just launched the product and granted with time the price will drop but you have to realize that it takes a lot more time, engineering, and equipment to make a First Strike round vs a normal paintball hence, they're more expensive, Haha
@TrouserKitten hey idiot, the rounds are cheapest at 40 cents when you buy the bulk 100 ct for 40 us dollars. and hey was referring to the price of the 8 round tubes
@DWINTERS14 i know i certainly wouldnt. i bet on no one buying them for the first two years, and then the price will come down and they will be about the same price as turnament paintballs. regular people should be able to afford them by 2013.
none...but isnt it actually the first strike round thats shooting 500 feet? i mean cuz i can put a first strike round in a proto slg and get the same results cant i?
@paintballtechpb I agree. Tiberius arms are in my upinion the coolest and best guns on the market, however, the first strike rounds cost about 1 dollar pr. bullet anywhere else in the world exsept for in the US, and the whole of America.
thats 1 FRIGGIN DOLLAR PR. BULLET
that means, in 1 mag, there is 8 dollars, or more.
I'm just sayin, and in my upinion, thats kind of overpriced, but exsept for that, I think Tiberius arms are 100 % the best ! :)
Have any Tiber feed necks for sale, also will it fit on a tm-15. If you have any knowledge of this please comment or message thank you

ps these are made for less lethal protection, they were never meant for paintball :-\ this is why they are so expensive..
so you'll pay roughly $1200 for 2000 first strike, and $60 for 2000
going by the deal 100 first strike for $60 :-\

@Me102288 $1200.00 for 2000 pbs?

thats equal (here) to 2000 of the most expensive painballs available :-\
thats sad for a paintball with a plastic skirt glued onto it dont ya think?
and they dont work for 99.99% of the paintball guns?
like I said they're for less lethal defense, not the game paintball :-(

baconator490 2 years ago
no its like cut on the bottom to accept the rounds from the mag kinda like the tpx barrels
assassinsrock 2 years ago
so you cant unscrew and replace the barrel even if your using regular paintballs?
baconator490 2 years ago
yup
assassinsrock 2 years ago
would this be a good gun to play woodsball with
iHACKiMACS 2 years ago
yeah, perfect tiberius has different models of this gun and they are built for woodsball.
adidas845 2 years ago
lol its made for woodsball. the rounds are made to go extremely far and accurate where you mainly see people in the woods

hey quick question, did you get around the same FPS when using the first strike rounds and normal paintballs? or was there a dramtic difference? its kinda difficult to read the chronograph
Paintplayer42 2 years ago
from what I saw, it looked like a 10-20 FPS difference
hudtill99 2 years ago
tell me the difference between the first strike upgrade kit & conversion kit.

What's "Maintence"
I noticed that the velocity was a lot lower with regular paintballs than with FS rounds. Is there any way to fix that?
rikilii 2 years ago
the aerodynamics of the FS rounds are much better compared to a regular paintball. if you going to be shooting the FS rounds you should rechrono your gun. plus the skirt makes the round spin making the round faster while also stabilizing the round. its kinda like a musket compared to a rifle
baconator490 2 years ago
i love the move the barrel concept. u can literally snipe with FS rounds, then if they catch up to u and u need to let out more shots, just twist the barrel and u've got tht whole hopper just for them!
woodsballer1994 2 years ago
if your using FS rounds in a reg. barrel would the accuracy be alot less or not really noticeable?

I would never use those round's because they only have half the paint.... People can easily say i didnt get hit or wipe especially from a really far distance. 75 cent's a round!!!! FUCK THAT

Hey Mike love tech pb. Its the best!
Curious for in-game conversion to marksman.
sivad87 2 years ago
so, basically... it's like an automag in pistol form?
Damaku250 2 years ago
I'm just a little confused. Whats the difference between the T8 and T9? Is the T8 JUST a pistol? When I search for the T9, all I get is pictures of one with all sorts of attatchments. I'm only getting pistols for the T8.
BTW, does the T9 shoot farther?
erg993 2 years ago
he forgot the flaltine in his test ;-)
JeanPierreSkurason 2 years ago
It's not faster traveling out of the barrel; it's the same velocity but a regular paintball would speed DOWN faster than a First Strike round.
These numbers may not be accurate, but it's a good way to think of it:
Paintball shot at 300 fps --> Hits you at 250 fps because it slowed down
First Strike Round shot at 300 fps --> Hits you at 285 fps because it travels faster, for a longer period of time.
derpderpherp 2 years ago
I'm not understanding the safety concern. Maybe someone can explain it to me. 300 fps is 300 fps regardless of whether it is a paintball or a first strike round right? So how would it come out of the barrel faster? It is more aerodynamic meaning it will go farther with the same force as a regular paintball but that doesn't mean it is faster. That's what chronographs are for.
xKIMMLEx 2 years ago 3
@xKIMMLEx thank you! and the tail fins arent dangerous BECAUSE THEY KEEP THE PAINTBALL FROM TURNING AROUND IN THE AIR. thats what their for, all they do is make it spin like a football for greater distance and accuracy.
peanutmaster1231 1 year ago
@xKIMMLEx it could have more kinetic energy, but i doubt it because its gotta b lighter than a normal paintball
TR1GG3R47 1 year ago
@xKIMMLEx well paintballs slow down and fs dont really do that .
PaintballBLACKHAWK 1 year ago
@xKIMMLEx first strike rounds might be lighter thus making them go faster
IMeTaLxMiLiTiAI 1 year ago
@IMeTaLxMiLiTiAI But that is why you chrono. Just like I said before 300 fps is 300 fps. Just because it can go faster do to being more aerodynamic does not mean it has to.
xKIMMLEx 1 year ago
@xKIMMLEx i think that they do is since they take longer to slow down than .68 paintballs do, fs rounds give the illusion that they are going faster, because its impossible for them to go faster once they get shot
IMeTaLxMiLiTiAI 1 year ago
@xKIMMLEx If you dial in your marker for normal paintballs, then switch to first strike, they go much faster.
zfirer 1 year ago
now can you feed first stike paint balls throue a hopper or just a mag ?
zachweeman65 2 years ago
First strikes only work through a mag, as they have a front end and a back end. The mag feeds them in only facing forwards. Hoppers work because no matter which way a paintball is facing, it's still a sphere, but with first strike, that's not the case.
ThePyrokatana 2 years ago
@zachweeman65 you need the mag
kevinegen 2 years ago
Hitting someone from point blank ( <10 feet) with a first strike would be no different than a regular paintball since even a standard round ball isn't going to slow down over that distance either, so I wouldn't expect any safety concerns at all.
dreamscape03 2 years ago
Sounds great but not for almost a dollar a paintball. Nobody is going to make that investment.
DWINTERS14 2 years ago
On the contrary, 3 people at the field I play at and one of my good friends make that investment before they play every weekend.
CollinKirkbride 2 years ago
Only 3? That's unfortunate, considering they would more then triple that number if the price was reasonable, not to mention how many fields that have banned the first strike round.
DWINTERS14 2 years ago
Prove to me that fields have banned first strike rounds and then maybe I'll believe you. And yeah, for being at a local field 3 people using them is a lot, not to mention the thousands of others that must be purchasing the rounds because if it was such a dead end product they would have discontinued it by now but they haven't because people ARE buying them.
CollinKirkbride 2 years ago
@CollinKirkbride Why would i say it without knowing? All the fields i play at in my region do not allow first strike rounds to be used. Maybe there are a few thousand people using first strike but me and the hundreds of paintballers i play with regularly all agree if they lowered the price we'd all invest in the round. Just my .02
DWINTERS14 2 years ago
Agreed but I'm just saying, right now they've just launched the product and granted with time the price will drop but you have to realize that it takes a lot more time, engineering, and equipment to make a First Strike round vs a normal paintball hence, they're more expensive, Haha
CollinKirkbride 2 years ago
hey retard the paintballs are about 30 cents each. And if u are smart in any way you can even get a better deal that that.
TrouserKitten 1 year ago
@TrouserKitten hey idiot, the rounds are cheapest at 40 cents when you buy the bulk 100 ct for 40 us dollars. and hey was referring to the price of the 8 round tubes
Robot0Ninja 7 months ago
@DWINTERS14 i know i certainly wouldnt. i bet on no one buying them for the first two years, and then the price will come down and they will be about the same price as turnament paintballs. regular people should be able to afford them by 2013.

how did tiberius arms get on the supergun show? cuz their guns are over priced?
lilwizz200 2 years ago
@lilwizz200
name another paintball gun that can hit players at over 500 feet @ 300fps?
That's not overpriced
paintballtechpb 2 years ago 10
none...but isnt it actually the first strike round thats shooting 500 feet? i mean cuz i can put a first strike round in a proto slg and get the same results cant i?
lilwizz200 2 years ago
@paintballtechpb I agree. Tiberius arms are in my upinion the coolest and best guns on the market, however, the first strike rounds cost about 1 dollar pr. bullet anywhere else in the world exsept for in the US, and the whole of America.
thats 1 FRIGGIN DOLLAR PR. BULLET
that means, in 1 mag, there is 8 dollars, or more.
I'm just sayin, and in my upinion, thats kind of overpriced, but exsept for that, I think Tiberius arms are 100 % the best ! :)

accuracy has almost nothin to do with barrel length

it would, but not my much. if you have the spare cash lying around for a new longer barrel go ahead and buy a new longer barrel.
