All people on earth ASPIRE to develop, which takes a lot of RAW resources from the land & water (not just "brains"); expensive goods don't come out of intellectual discussions by elites. Marbled floors, electronic gadgets, vehicles, buildings, clothes, foodstuffs.... all come straight out of the Earth. Sadlyl ions are fewer and fewer-less space less prey because mankind is taking over the space. Life in the wild is free but dangerous & very difficult & chance of death is much higher but it was better when there was more space & more prey & they could hunt without going after livestock which then gets them shot. I would like to see conservation-preserve jungles with wild animals on the planet. They are quickly disappearing.
@ELSOL102 In order for good size wild environments (ecoystems, really) to be preserved, post-industrialized nations/people have to be willing to CONSUME less & demand less from the Earth. There's a faulty perception that poor Natives are destroying wild lives, as they destroy THEIR environments. Truth: only in "native" lands in the world that we still have wild, majestic animals....
