  • HIS FACE IS INAPPROPRIATE.

  • Some people choose to be victims other people choose to carry a gun. but you victims make it so easy for criminals that prey on you it makes it hard on the rest of us to protect ourselves and our families. The people that legally open carry a firearm might have saved your dumb ass but you will never know. This country was founded on god and guns and we all should be respectfull of both!

  • One of the ass holes on the council said they have no power over the cops. Well he is imbecile. The council should set sop, code of conduct the cops work under.

  • The council can put a CRB in place. the people should have citizen review board of the cops. They CRB should take and hear the complains and investigated along with IA. CRB should only deal with civil part of complaint, code of conduct and sop, the employment of the cop. Punishment as time off with out pay up to firing the cop. IA should only investigate complaints for prosecution of crimes the cop committed.

  • enough. i;m not going to change anyone;s minds any yall anit changing mine. the end.

  • he thinks a law will stop someone whose bent on murdering another? If anything, allowing armed people into the meeting is more likely to reduce or eliminate the deadly damage some rogue nutcase could inflict upon those sitting ducks. Murderers don't say "gee, I would go in there and kill those people but I'd hate to break a weapon's law while committing capital murder".

  • would he be willing to disarm the police as well? Everywhere in the world there are incidences of police officers on or off duty that have committed felonous acts of violence against others. For all he knows, A cop in uniform could murder him at any time. Is he not afraid of that hypothetical scenario?

  • Open up your mind a little bit. I was raised in the big city, not the wild west. when people have guns, they use them. on others.

and as for the right to feel safe, its implied. thats why your not allowed to carry Katanas or Bastard Swords outside of Ren fairs.

it seems very clear that there is no way in heck i will change your thinking but hopeful i can get you to have some more... empathy

  • I will be moving to scranton shortly. The cities business IS my business. If I attend a meeting (again) I will be open carrying (again), not to disrupt, but because that is my habit. When I leave my house I have a few things every time. My wallet, my phone, my house keys, and my gun. Every day, for years. There was nothing special about that day besides the fact that the scranton city council was attempting to bypass the law.

  • you do realize how off-putting carrying a lethal weapon is to the general public right? while you do have the right to carry a gun, i have the right to feel safe, and your shady behind running around with a gun makes me feel unconfortable.

your rights end at the tip of your nose sir.

  • Completely incorrect, even to the quote. I have the right to carry it, so do you. Why would it put you off? Also, please explain to me which part of the Bill of Rights says you have the right to "feel safe"? What if the load of illegal immigrants down the street (hypothetical) keeps me from feeling safe? They are violating my rights! Sorry, no. You have no right to feel safe.

  • The quote is "My right to swing my fists ends at the tip of YOUR nose"

  • BTW, 0:34 if they try that, a bigger group will show up. They have no legal right to pass such a law, and if they try it, it will be a direct violation of state law, and they will be sued, and perhaps arrested for violating the state wide preemption law. Here it is

6120. Limitation on the Regulation of Firearms and Ammunition.

  • 6120. Limitation on the Regulation of Firearms and Ammunition.

    (a) General rule. No county, municipality or township may in any manner regulate the lawful ownership, possession, transfer or transportation of firearms, ammunition or ammunition components when carried or transported for purposes not prohibited by the laws of this commonwealth

  • @ggcpres do you know how uncomfortable it makes me feel because people like you go around and make yourselves easy prey for criminals helping them to establish a feeling of invincibility such that they can commit violence on anyone at their own whim? I hate when people like you try to defend the actions of violent felons and support their aggressions against decent law abiding citizens.

  • @Stink808 and how do i know you are not the criminals.

why should i trust you with a gun? what possible reason would a strangers have to think you would think defend me when you don't know me?

and on top of that: if a criminal pulls a gun on you, ready to fire, and your gun is in your holder, who has the upper-hand?

  • @ggcpres first off, how do I know you aren't a criminal hiding a gun? Second, I am not obligated to defend you. I would imagine you are not wanting to defend yourself if you have decided to leave yourself undefended or less defended than one who chooses to carry a firearm. Third, if a criminal pulls a gun on me, the other people lawfully carrying a firearm that he has paid no mind too more than likely will have the upper hand on him if they choose.

  • @ggcpres oddly enough, if they dont know you have a gun (which they usually dont) the holstered one does. They feel they are in complete control. They arent here to murder, but rob. It takes a mental gear shift. The carrier is already in live or die mode and the gunman isnt.

Try reading some articles from Ayoob

  • @ggcpres Yes, I do realize how off-putting carrying a firearm is to the general public. That is because the practice of carrying a firearm is not a common act anymore. It used to be, and everyone was fine with it then. Those who carry legally now are very safe.

Besides, if I am acting within the law, it doesn't matter what the general public thinks. I am not violating the rights of anyone by carrying unless I threaten them. You don't have the right to not be offended.
