  • Hot stuff, talk about the 80's and being in my 30's I love it. One day this song popped

up in my mind and I'm re-hooked.

  • this is the first jabber record i heard, brilliant and seedy

  • Great to hear this classic again! Thank you for posting-one of my favorite remixes ever!!

  • Love this!

  • Sooooo sick. Better than anything now

  • if a scientist sold me a time machine i really want travel to 80's

  • @danimass

I worked at a SF disco back in the day when this song was played. I will say music was at an all time high of the quality of talent. Not like today. Back then it was hard to have a favorite. Disco was a bit different than new wave. But the aray of talent was great. Great to work to, great to listen to, great to be apart of. Happy New Year...Thumbs Up to this post

  • @dkfavs happy New Year my friend.

  • I'M OUT THERE JERRY AND I'M LOVIN EVERY MINUTE OF IT !!!

  • One unlucky guy has never known a west end girl, yeah?

  • you know they were on a lot of drugs when they wrote this. those that dont partake, write shitty music.

  • That 1 dislike is probably some teen who is brainwashed by today's culture and listens to the crap they call music today. Though I wasn't around when this came out, I would've loved to live during the 80s.

  • yep. When this song was hot. The third invasion had begun.

  • One of my fav dance tracks of ALL TIME!! Timeless and flawless!!

  • I will never forget hearing this when it came out. This is my all-time favorite PSB song to this day.

  • What a terrific bassline. And I love the mid-song additional rap. This really blows my skirt up. Makes me wanna go 80s dance clubbing.

  • ♪♫♥ !

  • ...seriously, though; one of the best fucking basslines in the history of my short three decade life

  • WHERE'S MY BLOW, AND WHERE DID I PARK THE DELOREAN?

  • THIS HAS GOT TO BE MY FAVOURITE SONG IN THE WORLD

  • FUCK THE REMIX!

  • Also one of my 1st 12". What a spectacular song, even after all this time. IMO the best version by far. Thanks for posting.

  • I thought for a second that you may be a young whipper snapper who knew no better then I realise from your profile that you have reached the age of 43 knowing nothing about the history of music. Then again it may have been a sarcastic comment which if it is I apologize if not then, I need say no more.

  • @GAZZA251170 YOUNG MAN, you are forgiven. Each of us has our very own knowledge. I might know about this and this is how you knew it. I would greatly respect your comment your great knowledge when it comes to the history of music from the time of Mozart. Keep it up! I'm just too busy with my career. Thanks!

  • So cool :-)

  • the best version of WEST END GIRLS... ever!!

  • @7373Patricia BEST VERSION: watch?v=p3j2NYZ8FKs

  • The most awesome rap I have ever heard......... this is the very first rap that was ever produced.

  • @jbgiant2003 "This is the first rap that was ever produced" Do you really think that is true??? personally I know that to be an absoloute bollocks remark.

  • @jbgiant2003 great song...yes....but ...ARE FUCKING CRAZY?!?!?..."The most awesome rap I have ever heard"???..."This is the very first rap that was ever produced"??????....tell me you are really joking???....Go study the history of HIP-HOP before you make such stupid statements!...please! The Pet Shop Boys track is great no doubt......but lets not credit them with something other people created ......decades before this track even existed! Thanks.

  • @ultimatefury

Hi ulrtimatefury thanks for your comment! No doubt I would say you are the "superior" WHEN IT COMES TO MUSIC HISTORY AND HAD GIVEN THE MOST "EFFORT" in getting you heads SERIOUS on the books of music history hiphop edition! But sorry, no comment ulitimate fury! If you had all the time and that's how you feed your family! Sorry ! This is just based on what I know, and am busy taking care of my career and so happy with m wife and kid as well! So good luck! NO TIME FOR YOU! : )

  • @ultimatefury

  • I had this but lost it many years ago. Suddenly im back in 1985 Thank you for posting

  • Wow, this reminds me so much of my uncle, may he rest in peace, even 10 years later, when this song first came out, he's play this version a lot in his car. =D Thanks for posting.

  • This song is mental on Never Mind The Buzzcocks - Phil Jupiter does the intros round with it. Like I said MENTAL. In a good way.

  • ♪♫♥ !

  • this song REALLY came out in 1981, give or take a year or two - wbmx in chicago used to play it during the hot mixs. when it started getting airplay years later, we were baffled, but it was a definitely an enjoyable blast from the past then.

  • @feroniafreeman

How did they do that then - via time machine? Neil and Chris only met in aug '81 in hifi shop in londons king road - so the legend goes. Maybe you know different? The Bobby 'o' version came out in '84 if thats what you mean.
