Well you can't really compare intelligence like that because it's one of those things that are easily influenced by outside factors. East Asians are advanced than Southeast Asians, especially when it comes to education. Therefore, it wouldn't be surprised if the population is smart. Also, the average IQ of a nation doesn't mean everyone is smart, or dumb. Geniuses can be found in any nation. Smart people can be found anywhere. However, Southeast Asians are indeed hardworking.

Vietnam was a war torn country, but they've improved a lot over the short years. It's one of the fastest growing countries as of right now, heading for bigger industrialization. Not sure about Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, but I'm pretty sure they're not getting worse. India might be populated, but the population is brilliant. Most of them go into computer engineering.

I know Korea caused lots of troubles and pains by sending troops there, to make money to transform then a farming nation into an industrialized one. And the people who brought rices to Korea and Japan came from Southeast Asia. Southeast Asians or not Southeast Asians. It doesn't matter. One ethnic shouldn't degrade another just because of unfair and too general judgments. I don't see anything great in being an East Asian as oppose to being Southeast Asian, and vice-versa. Those people that look down Southeast Asians are in fact unconsciously inferior. One way or another, Asians are related nonetheless. We have similar DNA, similar facial structures, cultures, values. Korea isn't any better or lesser.

All the dogs are similar, for instance, but poodles outsmart bulldogs, while bulldogs outbrave poodles. It seems that East Asians are intellectually better than Southeast Asians, while Southeast Asians can be better spiritually or in some other dimensions. Each has their own strengthenss and weakness.

Well you can't really compare intelligence like that because it's one of those things that are easily influenced by outside factors. East Asians are advanced than Southeast Asians, especially when it comes to education. Therefore, it wouldn't be surprised if the population is smart. Also, the average IQ of a nation doesn't mean everyone is smart, or dumb. Geniuses can be found in any nation. Smart people can be found anywhere. However, Southeast Asians are indeed hardworking.

There should be smarter Southeast Asians, but on average, East Asians outsmart on the dimension. Ashkenazi Jews show highest IQ among Jews, they're genetically similar to ordinary Jews, but the environment around them must have made them good on the IQ.

Every human traits are the outcomes of long-time evolutionary process. People in the cold areas, had to face brutal environment to survive than people in the warm areas, and they must have needed higher IQ to survive, and they must have evolved in the way. East Asians are better than whites on the IQ, but whites are better than East Asians on creativity.

@seouliteguy Indeed it is...Once we get rid of communism in the Southeast, then everything will start to fall out nicely. Vietnam was a war torn country, but they've improved a lot over the short years. It's one of the fastest growing countries as of right now, heading for bigger industrialization. Not sure about Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, but I'm pretty sure they're not getting worse. India might be populated, but the population is brilliant. Most of them go into computer engineering.

I know Korea caused lots of troubles and pains by sending troops there, to make money to transform then a farming nation into an industrialized one. By sending troops, Korea was paid by US, and the money did a crucial role in making Korea industrialized. While victimized Vietnam remains poor, and young girls to Korea to marry old Korean men(quite often poor quality men) who are largely abandoned by domestic girls.

Japan made a big seed money to make them industrialized by manufacturing goods for the US army during Korean war and Vietnamese war. Unfortuntely someone's misfortune was very beneficial to someone else. I believe that Korea and Japan must have a sense of debtness to Vietnam, and help her in return.

There are attractive people of all races and every mix. As a white American I do find it interesting that the mixed-race people are considered the most attractive in the Philippines. Spanish influence maybe? I know many Hispanics here like the more European looking Hispanic people the best. My own take...everyone should be proud of who you are. 100% sure. when i took filipino for many years in the philippines there were no spanish or english words in the text books. it just so happens that filipinos like to mix up the languages and ended up speaking tagalog-english-spanish. in fact filipinos have more english words than spanish in their daily vocabulary. there are LOAN words from spanish but there are actual tagalog words for those.
same thing happened to japanese,they use alot of english LOAN words when they speak japanese.

if that so, what is the tagalog word for "lugar"? you've said ( in fact filipinos have more english words than spanish in their daily vocabulary), that's only applicable to metropolitan manila, the question is, have you been to remote provinces of the philippines? have you ever noticed that most dialects have spanish words than english in their daily vocabulary? you're talking about the entire archipelago when you refer to filipinos,right?

yes i've lived in visayas and the filipino subject textbooks had no spanish or english.
for 'lugar' could be have different meaning, depending on your sentence it can translated into tagalog as tungkulin, bahagi, tampak na ayos, purol, or pool.
malalim na tagalog na mga yun kaya many filipinos no adays don't know these words,but tagalog scholar do use these.
think of the way how english scholars speak with huge meaningful english words compared to uneducated speakers speaking slang and street

sorry madam,i'm referring to "daily vocabulary" used by rural population(s),not "filipino subject textbooks". I beg to differ with your idea that filipinos have more english words than spanish in their daiy vocabulary.. I gave "lugar" as an example, LUGAR=POOK,..
1.) Maaari po bang mabatid ang pook ng iyong kapanganakan?
2.)Pwede bang maalaman kung saang lugar ka ipinanganak?
3.)Saang place ka ipinanganak?
Which of these three sentences is the most commonly used in everyday basis?

Trust me,the most intelligent tagalog scholars speak using the sentences you've mentioned,but the youth nowadays is so accustomed to western that we speak tagspanlish.dont worry japanese people do it too

do you speak tagalog to filipino native speakers? coz i do and there's way more english than spanish in filipinos daily vocabulary, but no english in the tagalog language.

that's your choice,but the most common is number 2, and of course i do speak to filipinos not only residing in metro manila but to diffirent provinces,and the reality is -Spanish words are widely used than English in filipino daily vocabulary,..Tell me honestly,are filipinos in provinces uses english words to attach to their dialect(s)?Take note,Filipino refers to the people of the entire archepelago of the country and not by MManila per se.

Yes filipinos in other provinces use english in their daily vocabular just like spanish.
And again we are talking about the filipino language called tagalog. tagalog spoken in other provinces has the same prununciation as in manila.
isn't the language english the same everywhere? dialects have nothing to do with this debate

of course! dialects have something to do with this debate.When you say " filipinos uses more english words than spanish in their daily vocabulary" ,.then that is absolutely wrong. "Filipinos" refer to the people of the Philippines,not all people in the Philippines speak tagalog in their daily vocabulary,instead they speak their dialect(s) according to the region where they belong.Majority of dialects have more spanish words than english. Give me a dialect where english words are more dominant.

Actually there is spanish in tagalog. We consider them loanwords but we've been using them for SO LONG that it has been more a part of the tagalog language.

yes please. so i can give you the real tagalog words. I've been discussing this too with tagalog scholars, many filipinos don't know the DEEP tagalog words because they're not used often and that filipinos nowadays are accustomed to speaking english and spanish. Japanese people do it too.
LOAN words are still considered LOAN words.
i can also give you a long list of chinese and malaysian LOAN words if you'd like.
