@zomaninc hehe the intrachangable lenses are a nice feature even though the lenses are very expenisve. i would get it but as i've said i don't have so much money, so i had to settle with hm100u and it's a great little camera but you can't really use it to get artsy like results that you can with hm700, i use it for more documentary like shots. i have the canon 5d mark ii and it can give me that plus intrachangable lenses, the qualty is good but it's very clumsy to work with compared to hm100u.
what setting did you set the 700 to shoot the footages? I use the 700, but for news, so I have my set to 60p at 1080x720. I am trying to get the video to shoot with a film look but can't seem to find the right combination of settings. I've tried 24p but the video seems choppy. Thank you.
@dhad1976 Agree with you, if this camera come with 1/2CCD WHAOOO! That why I will put my money on the HPX370, is 1/3 but they do a great job in low light situation.
it is the Fujinon lens, I think you still have a choice between Fuji or Canon. I was one of the first to order the 700 so I didn't have much choice because they didn't have any Canon lens at the time. Anyway It shoots HD and will out put SD. It's not sent ready to shoot, you have to adjust the camera to you liking or others. Did a project after a high end camera started and the client love my picture more. I have hopes to buy a new lens but it is $8000 dollars however it will not be soon.
Can someone help me? Where I can get a RAW video from this JVC-HM700 camcorder on Low Light Situation? I will purchase a HD camcorder and the fight is between HPX-300 & HMC700.
OK. Cameras are for pictures, right? Camcorders are for videos, right? But what the hell the Canon 7D DSLR make HD videos betters that any Camcorder of HD around 6k to 8k and it only cost $2,129. And as a Videographer a need to pay 6K to 8k for a HD camcorder and it get worst, those camcorder are 1/3 CCD chip, the worst thing in low light situation. Check this video "Canon 7D movie - Another night in Beijing" This is proof that SONY,JVC & Panasonic only whant to F... Y.. until they can't no more.
Hey, I use a JVC GY-HM700 camcorder, but i don't know which settings to use to get such a great video quality.... COuld someone please help me?

@simon1234simon / i got it because it used a real lens, and could be upgrade to a nicer one. If and when I can afford to replace it.
