  • But I love both series

  • @9SpeedsKid just a fun fact brother hood was actually made before this one it was a manga and was not finished yet so they signed a deal and made this the story was scraped and this was born i think this one does have the best music of the both the only problem with this to me is that greed dies and doesnt come back and as in brotherhood he comes back same no memory of what happend and in lings body so to me this one gets a 10/10

  • I like the music better in the original FMA then Brotherhood :,)

  • this reminds me of the day one of are horses finally passed the day before he was running happily but then he just collapsed in his stall in so much pain we moved him to a arena to be with my horse his pasture mate and then he fall again we tried to get him up so meany times i member everyone screaming at him to get up and how my horse took the lead and pulled when she watched us how i kept telling him its going to be okay when i saw the two put their heads together in one final word i lost it

  • it's so sad! i wanna cry

  • It's just soo beautiful and sad... and I love it sooo much*-* <33

  • The title says Beaming Sunlight...but feels more like a rainy day...='(

  • Nina...

  • Oh, I hadn't heard this song in ages. It's such a lovely piece. Absolutely flawless.

  • It's impressive how OSTs deeply touches me.

Just to listen to this makes me sad, and brings me back all the memories from FMA.

The same happens to any Game or Anime whose composer is really good.

    It's just perfect...

  • so sad :'(

  • @detre07 yeah the beginning is done better than Fmab but the end of Fma is way too rushed and unsatisfactory. It's still great but for that alone Fmab beats it.

  • this reminds me of nina. i cried SO hard when i found out she was a chemera, but i cried harder when she died. im almost crying now...

  • This is the first song I learned on the piano :')

  • Hands down fave song from FMA

  • ^_^ This is easy to learn on the piano. I'm happy I've got it almost down. Thanks for uploading all of the OST's on this track!

  • Whenever I hear this song, the first thing I think of is Nina Tucker. =( Her story hit me so hard... I would still put it up in the top five most depressing moments of any movie, book, anime, etc, I have ever seen. Rarely have I been that depressed.

..."You promised you'd come play with me." ='(

  • I need to lean thin on piano NOW

  • why do i always i see a comment that says that the video doesn't have any dislike...and then 2 days later, you see 2-6 dislikes... it just piss me off! i don't want to see any dislike in my favourite ost/videos etc. because of that! :@

  • can u see the dislike bar? me neither :)

  • @FMFDaniela1 Trisha,Ed, Al disliked but jus cos there nice they made the dislike bar disappear

  • I really dont like people complaining about a second Fma story. Do people forget that its not a remake but the real story true to it's source the original manga. The first anime was birthed by impatience from anime producers unable to wait for manga releases, so they wrote their own story from the Greed arc onwards.

  • @Tmilom99 Yeah FMA ended on a happy/sad note since Ed and Al were alive but seperated. I think the whole series ended happily in Shamballa where they stayed in Germany during World War 2 together

  • I had a dream with this song playing...beautiful music really seeps into one's unconscious.

  • go the 438 people you liked :D

  • wow only 2 dislikes haha

  • it's truly a testament to both the anime and it's soundtrack that the first few piano notes can bring you back to all the moments in the show and personally, brings me to tears every time

  • I personally found the original series far better than fmab. I did enjoy fmab, however it lacked the emotional depth of fma. It seems they went for a more kid/teen anime. The scenes that were of the same story, were better in fma. Once I saw the episodes revolving around the sewing life alchemist and his daughter in fmab, I couldnt help feel they had diluted the entire scene and struck it of the emotional power it had in the original

  • T_T

  • I love how in this anime nothing is perfect. Things you want to happen don't happen and yet, strangely, it makes you love it more. Even as you watch as death touches those you thought would always be safe.

And good god, the music...It's just...A breath of fresh air I guess.

There's no glittery Edwards, no stupid stalker/damsel couple...just two young boys trying to do what's right.

  • I'm using this song in my A2 Film Studies project.

  • How could anyone Dislike this they must not be true FMA fans

  • @Diedhard

Perhaps they're not FMA fans at all, it's a sad truth, but it happens.

  • when I started watching this series, I loved the bond between the brothers. it reminded me of the same love and feelings that my brother and I share. the song always popped on when al and ed had a tender moment. now, every time I hear this song, it not only reminds me of the anime, but also of my brother and I

  • I think the reason that FMA didnt stick with the manga was because the manga wasnt as completed as it was when FMAB came out. So they had to make up what would happen.

  • Agh, I like this song. It's so sad, yet so pretty. =')

  • I can't help crying... When I hear, when I play this song... It's so beautiful ! :'D

  • the 2 peaple who disliked this have no ears

  • Comment removed

  • @lilsquirt1995 Aaaannd now I need three.

  • Does anyone know the name of the song that plays when al fights kimblee in FMA?

  • "I felt so helpless, I couldn't even bring myself to believe someone might save me. And then you showed up Al, and I realized that if we don't take care of each other then no one else will. So I'll do anything in my power to get our bodies back, even if it means being the militaries lap dog. And we'll just have to hope our powers are good enough to help us rise above our own limits. Because we're not Gods, we're humans, tiny insignificant humans. Who couldn't even save a little girl." - E.E.

  • @1hardrocker1 Great Quote to use for this song. It is very fitting and just goes with it. While I read it I heard Edwards voice saying it, so thanks for taking me back to that memory!

  • i think that.. if someone see the fma first he would like it more than fmab.. and if someone see the famb first he would like it more than fma... thas my opinion cause i have seen the fmab first and fma after and i liked fmab much more

  • @TinExwDei I agree...but I love Brotherhood so much and I saw it after FMA. The story was bigger, encompassed a lot more characters/story lines, and the ending was far more satisfying. I guess it depends on the person! I personally love Brotherhood more! (Except for the lack of "Brothers" track, and Al's new voice.)

  • i fell in love with this song as soon as i heard it the first time in the first episode <3

  • I love this song

  • such a sad little song

    i still love it though

  • first thing that comes to my mind is nina..

    than i cry a little >.>

T_T shuddup its manly if its fma

  • 1 dislike = DANTE

  • When I heard this, I HAD to learn it on piano... Man, I love this song so much!

  • @Bluestar10001 Where did you find the sheet music? Or do you learn by ear?

  • one person is an idiot

  • the firts time this plays is when Cornerllo is speaking with rose, the light floods into the room from the window behind him--Hince the name "Beaming sunlight" DFDFG FDDFGHFTHDFHDF I GET IT NOW :D

  • i finished making a piano tutorial for this song (\(^_^)/)

    check it out >.<

    u know u want to

  • i can still hear nina say to alphonse " You promised to come play with me...."

  • brotherhood should have kept this opening.

  • I taught myself to play this song :) perfected it in 20 minutes, it's fairly simple, but I get choked up every time <3 :')

  • @LizLikesPastaaa Damn homunculi...

  • I Miss Nina She Was Such a Sweet Little Girl.... <3 :'(

  • I'm gonna cry. Man, this is the song!

  • I love this song! Its soo sad and beautiful, it makes me cry!!

  • The one person who Disliked was probably crying so much they hit the wrong button. D:|

  • I like FMA a lot but I like Brotherhood slightly more and there are a few songs that I wish made it over

  • Awee! I'm crying! This song always plays at the saddest parts! :'(

  • what a stupid 1 person >.<

  • @DragonFly1329 now 4!

  • I think the best Ost are FMA, Soul Eater, Junou Romatica and Lovless

  • hola alguien me podria decir de donde descargo esta cancion porfavor

  • Im glad this has No Dislikes, If I did.......Lets just say, the people would wish they didn't dislike it....... =P

  • I've been looking for this for so long :..(

  • What are the odds, being born in this era, and witnessing this masterpiece, thankyou FMA ^^

  • best ost

    fma

    bleach

    d gray man

    naruto

    darker than black

  • when i heard this song in the episode of fma when nina died it made me cry.. :(

  • This would be one of the reasons why I love FMA. :)

  • No DISLIKES!!! It a miracle!!! : )

And I'm proud to say I can play this on piano. Not as good but it's something. : )

    *starts crying*

Poor Nina... I cried along with Ed when he found her. : * /

  • *sniff* I don't no why , but my eyes just watered up.

  • DAMMIT, FMA! STOP BEING SO SAD T___T <3

  • @herrhitlerfuntime Not the drawings,but the Personalitys.

  • this is going to be the song for my funeral

  • Crying*

  • Whenever I listen to this,I can hear Ed in the back saying:

"But we're not the devil, much less are we god...We're just Human Beings! Tiny,Insignificant Human Beings incapable of even saving Nina.. "

Then,I find it hard not to cry...

  • good to see no thumbs down. one of the best animes EVER!!!!!! beautiful music in the whole series.

  • This is such a beautiful song. I brings out tears from every emotion everytime I hear it. I never want it to end. Its one of those numbers that touch every part of a persons soul. I want to learn this song so I can keep playing it all day long

  • not surprised there arnt any dislikes even though this is the first video ive ever seen without any

    its so beautiful!! T_T

  • @PrincewithPride You said that, and some douche disliked it.. =/

  • @PrincewithPride there has been a dislike since you made your comment.

  • Brotherhood is lame... original is way better...

  • @gigitygigity93 i havnt seen brotherhood myself so i have no comparison

    but brotherhood is the orginal

just thought i should let you nowz ^_^

  • @PrincewithPride Well im talking about the original animation ;)

not how the manga is XD

  • @gigitygigity93 Brotherhood is not lame, its actually really good. I dont know if you know but Brotherhood is the may FMA is told in the Manga. I like them both pretty much the same. I really was not thrilled with the way FMA ended, and Brotherhoods ending is flat out better. Two different stories, similar characters, overall FMA is better than Brotherhood, but Brotherhood is far from LAME

  • @Tmilom99 Unfortunately, it's also far from good. FMA1, on the other hand, maintained consistently excellent standards of animation, storytelling, and musicality. When Brotherhood is good...it's really good. When it's bad, it's almost unwatchable. And as for the ending, I found FMA1 to be much more fulfilling - it stayed true to the tone the series and to the message of equivalent exchange, whereas Brotherhood produced a happy ending with some extremely questionable 11th hour plot twists.

  • @OperationIntrudeN313 Now that I think back on brotherhood, I really cannot disagree with you, especially on the last minute plot twist. Animation wise, I also agree with you and feel the art in FMA was flawless, while at times in brotherhood, it was a little sloppy. I just looked at this as a different artist and their individual form of expression (while I do not even know if the artist were the same for the two series).

  • @OperationIntrudeN313 i didnt watch fma because i didn't like it. while brotherhood was sloppy at times it did something fma didn't do. it stuck to the manga. the whole reason for brotherhood was to see it in the manga's point of view.

  • @Tmilom99

    ehhh...

i mean, i just dont like the HUGE story change, i like maybe a little bit, BUT IT WAS TOTALLY DIFFERENT......and the voices!

wtf happened to al's voice? it sounds like a two year old girl???

  • @CookieINTHEseireitei What did you expect? What the hell is the point of doing a series all over again only to do it exactly the same, that don't really make much sense does it. It was totally different, but the characters were the same and I just embraced the fact that it was going to be new and different which allowed me to really enjoy it. No matter what, the ending of Brotherhood is better and more of what I would have liked to happen in the first FMA.

  • @CookieINTHEseireitei

The story change was needed (who wants to see a tv show remake of the same tv show?)

While the kid who did Al's voice in the original english dub grew up, so they decided to hire a girl this time around and not worry about puberty :)

  • @Tmilom99 Honestly, I like the ending to brotherhood because it makes me feel better, but the ending to the other is more powerful, also good in its own way.

  • @Tmilom99 Overall FMA is better? FMA doesn't even come close to how good brotherhood was to me..

  • @Tmilom99 doesn't Edward strip more in brotherhood? just asking ;D I watched both animes after all.

  • @Tmilom99 Lol I couldn't even watch FMA to the end , but brotherhood is one of my favorite animes..

  • @detre07 BLASPHEMY!!!!!

  • @Tmilom99 Mmm, I agree. I think the FMA adaption was by far the more depressing version, in my opinion. I cried so many times during it :( Or maybe it's because I'm a girl... >>

  • @Tmilom99 Have to agree with you, the directors had a different approach to the storyline and they were both amazing animes. The FMA that deviated from the storyline though was more in depth and focused mainly on characterization. Whereas the shounen-ish Brotherhood was more developed since there were more materials available. I really appreciate the efforts of both teams XD

  • I tried to play this in my piano.... I figured out the first part, but when the low notes come in, I need help... does anyone have some sheet music? please help, I absolutely love this song!

  • @Flashtail google it japanese anime music sheet. it should come up with ichigo sheet music :D

  • @wolvina wow, thank you SO much!! =3

  • @Flashtail ur welcome hoped i helped

  • I H8 Shou Tucker.... He's an SOB!!!!!

  • FMA i sone of my favourite Animes. I just love the theme of it as well as their adventures as they try to find a way to get their bodies back to normal. Beautiful song too.

  • This is featured in one of the early episodes where Shou Tucker's lil secret is exposed

Nina/Alexander: You promised you'd come play with me.

    Al says: I know...

  • Beaming sunlight.:)Just beautiful.

  • "No matter what lies beyond the gate worth finding...all that can truly be found is what lies in each other" I think that sums up this song...and I just made it up on the spot.

  • I kinda imagine this being said by al to ed during this song: "..Hey.....As long as we have our fullmetal hearts, we can get through anything....right, brother?"

    <3

  • @AlphonseElric45 -cries-

  • @AlphonseElric45 for some reason, your comment with the music playing breaks my heart, especially imagining Alphonse saying it. for some reason its just so heartbreaking.

  • "What Lies ahead of us now... is osmething we can't even find in the gate, or even in our own dreams of finding.." ~ i made it up on the spot towards this song.. <3

  • I really don't see a connection between the song title and the actual piece. I see this more like a beaming moonlight or a twilight shine sort of thing. But hey we all have different opinions. Maybe it's a fading sunlight.

  • manifique rien que de l ecoute j ai la larme qui coule tout seul........

  • Oh gosh! I was wondering if I should buy this or not. I've been listening to all of the songs. After hearing this, I'm going to get this soundtrack.

  • I took a bath the other day, and I played this song on my stereo the whole time I was in there.

It was the most peaceful bath I ever took.

  • I love this song and i really love fma

  • Courage, dear I am here Rest in my love Breezes Sigh Moonlit sky Stars shine above You are in my keeping Now it's time for sleeping Be at peace and hear my voice I'll send you dreaming Hush now, let your fears go Be brave, heed no shadow Though the sky is dark, there still are stars forever gleaming Day will dawn when night has gone Slumber now and wait for sun Ever by your side I'll stay Dearheart42, why didn't you post the full version? (Dearheart is the author not me!)
  • @uNhumuN That sounds like the perfect lullaby.

  • @uNhumuN :) That's lovely.... Tell Dearheart that they're awesome X3

  • This is my favorite piece, I wanted to learn this song so badly i bought the $40 sheet book and spent like an hour trying to find the song name in Japanese. Rakuyou is the first piece I learned from FMA and i LOVE IT

  • didnt they play this song when ed and al were at their moms grave at sundown after the funeral is al is like: "brother...im cold...lets go home."

  • I always loved this piece. Took me forever to find it. I really wished they'd of played this during the time in which Mustang said "It's Going to Rain Today." ((All Hardcore FMA fans know what I'm talking about))

  • @HKbdgr hell yeah! =D

It would be awesome if FMA Brotherhood got some of the past songs and put it on the best parts of the anime...

But I think is against some law of copyright or whatever -_-'

  • @HKbdgr great idea

  • I came up with lyrics for this song when I first got the Full Alchemist Movie... I might make a video one of these days... thank you so much for posting this song!

  • this song makes you cry and its perfect sadly it doesnt last more than 1:37 mins. it always made me sad when i heard al saying, i cant remember my past, i cant eat, i cant feel my skin etc. always made me sad

  • my favorite song from this ost

  • it reminds me off the sad fma episode were the poor cat dies :(

  • @fullmetallover637 aww I remember that one too! It was so said i cried a little LOL! It also reminds me of the part where Ed meets the girl that had super strong automail

  • wow, i´m reading these great lyrics from Dearheart42, listening this song, and while I read "Though the clouds be dark" it starts to rain outside and I hear the drops knocking on the window.

    Magnificent...

  • "Daddy... are you hurting somewhere?"

God this song reminds me of Nina. ): One of the saddest anime deaths in history~

    Such a great song~ RIP Nina... <3

  • I agree, that had to be the saddest thing to happen in any anime that i watched, i would of kept going if i was Ed and kept punching her father even after his brother grabbed his arm

  • @Gokutransformedss2

Yeah, same. Any father that would do that to their precious baby girl deserves to get beaten up. Although, in a way, Tucker DID get his taste of karma in the end.

  • @Kaya5778

Yeah in a sense but i think he got off too easy if you ask me lol, i would of wished somthing much worse than what happened to him o.o

  • Me too...

He was a disgusting monster, got off a little too easy...

  • this song is so soothing and yet it makes me cry

  • Same for me. I used to rewind parts that played this music over and over again until it made me cry.

Sooo, only about four times. =)

  • *-*

  • without music there is no emotion.

  • Strange...how much this resembles how I feel just..day to day.

  • O.O

  • @Riceball512 Well...it's just how I'm moody.

  • nina and her dog... T.T

  • if somebody could pass me the tabs on guitar, please send me an PM, plz

  • whenever i hear this music, i feel warmth, yet i begin to frown and try not to cry. It's that beautiful.

  • i think the music really makes this series come alive

  • I've noticed that there's a lot more piano in the old series than in the new one. I kind of miss it...

  • God, thank you for music.. I'm really crying now..

  • poor nina her dad was a stupid I hate him Ohh nina I´m sorry

  • yeah i remember the little girl with her dog it made me cry after i watch those episode.

  • One of the songs I remember most from the series... beautiful... god I'm so glad music exists.

  • Nina/Alexander:No Big Broth-errr...

Ed:Nina, I want you to bear with me Okay? This May Hurt...

Al: What're You Doing? Your not Planning to split them up are you?! you don't know how to!

Shou: The Chimera's a Perfect Transmutation fused to the core! There's no way to seperate them now! careful you'll just do to them what you did to your mother!

One of the Saddest Scenes in FMA, Go Team Ed and Al! <3 and R.I.P Nina x Alexander T_T

  • You can actuly learn a thing or 2 from this anime if you realy thought about what is going on. =P

  • Courage, dear

    I am here

    Rest in my love

    Breezes sigh

    Moonlit sky

    Stars shine above

  • You are in my keeping Now it's time for sleeping Be at peace and listen to my voice I'll send you dreaming Hush now, let your fears go Be brave, heed no shadow Though the clouds be dark Still there are stars forever gleaming Day will dawn when night is done Slumber now and wait for sun Ever by your side Ill stay.
  • Sorry for spamming the comments page lol, but I've been wanting to write lyrics to this song for a long time. It's always sounded like a lullaby to me. =) So beautiful...the first FMA series had a killer soundtrack... *sighs blissfully*
