A ballerina is the top ballet dancer of a company, and there can only be ONE ballerina. This means that not much ballet dancers actually become ballerinas. Does it mean that they aren't great ballet dancers? No.

Those are soooo cool!!! Don't let anyone get you down about your technique. It takes time. I started pointe a few years ago but had to take a break beacuse of an injury. It was hard going back up after. Technique is a lot different on pointe and much harder. So I think for only being up for a month, you are doing just fine. Kepp on dancing, and keep up the pointe work, believe me, it's worth it! And i'm totally jealous as well, you have beautiful arches for pointe!

I like the color of the shoes it's very pretty. Don't pay attention of anyone on here leaving negative comments. Most of them probably haven't even worn a pair of canvas or leathers. :) Let alone a pair of pointe. Just remeber that even the most talanted dancers had to work on their turnout and arches. Yea, most human bodies are not born being able to rotate a hip like ballerinas can, it takes years, practice, determination and pain.

You have great feet BUT you really need to work on actually pointing them even when standing en pointe instead of letting them squish down into the bottom of your shoe, but you have naturally great arches :) kinda jealous...

I LOVE the color! Since you're on en pointe , could you tell me how would you know when you're ready to go on en pointe? I know you have got to have strong feet and you have to be 11/12 but some people go on early. What are other ways you could tell you're ready?

@P58777431 it's best to start on point when you're not growing as much and have to work more on your ankle strength, for instance, if your ankles wobble heaps when you take a step (just my personal way of testing) then they aren't strong enough for pointe :)

for only being on pointe for one month, i think you have some natural talent. i'm not saying this to be rude or anything, i'm only going to give you some pointers since i've been on pointe for six years. definitely work on your turnout. therabands are awesome and help a TON! also, try to push out onto your box a bit more. hold on to a barre and push over the box as much as possible. it helps to make your ankles a bit more flexible. i hope this helps! keep it up, you're awesome so far! :)

Those shoes were never used for stage I dyed them when I purchased a new pair, these shoes weren't fitted right so they were only any good for home practice.

With my new ballet teacher I'm allowed to have black/red/blue/purple etc, but not for stage.
