  • I did all of this, except it warped the colors and made it grainy. Everything worked, just the colors got messed up. Any idea as to what I did wrong?

  • @ArchangelKo - You can export it to have more colours. Visit my channel and check out my follow-up video on higher quality/better looking GIF's.

  • How can I export to msn?

  • You just need to export it as seen in the video, to a .GIF format. Then, whilst in an msn conversation, click the 'emoticons' button (the smiley face). Click 'show all', followed by the 'Create' button. Then press 'Find Image' (or browse) and select your exported GIF file, from wherever you saved it. Enter in a shortcut / name, and hit ok, and you should be able to use your emoticon. Also, others will be able to add it aswell :)

(For the latest MSN version, but the steps will be similar anyway)

  • This doesnt work for me, even though I have dones everything like the video showed. I publish it and get a gif file (a bouncing ball), but the ball just stands still in the top without moving down and back up again. Whats the problem?

  • well you must make sure you tick the 'animated' box, for starters d:

  • Yes, I have done that, but it still doesnt seem to work for me.

  • That happens to me too plz help us

  • thanks that really helped

p.s does it work the same to export then save as gif or do you need to publish it

  • well i think you'll get alot more options and settings via the 'Publish Settings' option, but your way might work too... when i took a look at is just then in CS4, however, it didn't look like there was an option to make it animated... could be wrong, but i'd say just stick with the Publish method

    ;)

  • thanks for that, after using flash for a day it is accually easier to publish. i am just used to save or export as

    p.s it is so fun

  • Win, thanks man. I was having a lot of trouble with export movie -> anim gif, but this works perfectly!

  • whats the name of program and where can i download it?

  • its called flash.. here im using Macromedia Flash MX 2004 professional version 7.0 - to be exact. (just call it flash mx) But theres much newer versions with more features, better engines, etc. the latest is Adobe FLash CS4. You can buy it or (illegally) download a torrent for it
