Check out the Charterhouse (Pete's, Mike's, Ant's and Tony's alma mater) School Choir singing this number on The London Symphony with David Palmer's album, "Genesis, We Know What We Like," released during the Eighties. I'll say awesome and leave it at that.
This has to be my funeral song, your all invited !!! hope its a while off though !!! Very emotional song, no other song has touched me like this one, goin to see genesis tribute band , pacific road arts centre birkenhead feb 4th !! its trick of the trail and wind and wuthering night !
I had just broken up with my girlfriend when I heard this song when I was 17. I'm 51, and it still gets me. Love drumming to this song. What a classic! Genesis was one of the most powerful bands....than along came Duke. They had a way of writing depressing songs that gave you hope. Awesome.
This is Phil Collins with a bit of leftover Peter Gabriel in him. Phil was never better. Undertow is one of the greatest (yet most underrated) songs ever.
If you think there is any leftovers from Ass whipe Gabriel leaving the band, you have obviously never listened to the double live album, Seconds Out.
