So, you cleared 8 grams of kief from an ounce of shake using dry ice? How much dry ice? It does nothing nasty to the kief, chemically speaking? Could I just decarboxylate it and use it in edibles? That sounds almost too good to be true!

@Lizzie1000and1 The benefit of pre-made bags like this is that the mesh size is constant and predictable so you can extract specific sizes of particles from the herb. Pantyhose will stretch over the opening which will change the mesh size. That means that you may not get as *potent* or pure end-result. i.e., it may contain broken, partial trichomes or dirt particles. Using bags will allow you to sort all of the sift by size and isolate the good stuff by itself.

appreciate the attempt but this is just low quality dry sift considering how long you shake and the micron of the bag. also this isnt co2 hash, although i get the co2 connection with dry ice what's known as co2 hash in the med community is when you use a supercritical co2 pressurized extraction which is very expensive and very few people have the equipment for.

@CaliforniaOceanGrown unfortunately, you're right. it's good to cook with or make extracts though. you can stir the keif straight into any thing going in the oven.

@hashchamp with a real c02 set up yes but with this, HELL NO! Dry Ice will turn your skin to dust, what do you think it will do to decomposing leaf material, this method is inferior. It's no different than grinding your trim through a cheese grader.

first off the 220 bag releases to many contaniments, the 120 or 73 is a much better product, a lot cleaner and tastier...... Oh yeah, your shaking it way too long.

@monsieur420 The boldT bags are top of the line. They clean easy and last a long time. I wouldn't waste your money on cheap ebay ones. Youll just have to buy more after two or 3 extractions.

Interesting video, I've never heard of using dry ice to make hash before. Looks like it works reasonably well all things considered, though it also looks rather tiring. Thanks for showing us how it works!
