yer totally right ive been playing guitar hero and rockband since gh2 came out and i totally agree that circles are sososos much better i do admit for drums squares can at times be a bit easier to read during some parts but for most of the time circles are better

i think that for drumming the rectangles are much easier and more clear, for guitar circles are good. I'mm just so used to rock band now tho so it's hard to go back to the old circle notes

That doesn't excuse that it is Guitar Hero with 2.5 more instruments and weekly DLC. Don't get me wrong I prefer Rock Band though I like both games. My point is they could have just made something else that doesn't involve guitars. The fact they did just make Rock Band was probably for financial reasons and I don't blame them it was the smartest thing to do, but the game is still a rip-off of Guitar Hero since they did not own the license to the series at the time of production.

Even Harmonix who made Rock Band AND Guitar Hero said that they would never make bands exclusive, because they want fans to get to listen to ALL KINDS OF MUSIC instead of limiting them to only certain types because of the exclusivity contract. If Activision isn't monopolizing, then I don't know what is.
