well okay, you have to get an external screen (TFT, CRT) an plug it into the sub-d output. Then set the screen to the TFT or CRT and open the game. Go to settings and set it to 800x600. Open the game on your eee pc screen and set it to 800x480 and play.

Windows Fundamental for legacy pc's, but it's basicly the same as XP. I don't think it wil work emulated in linux, GTA2 didn't even work good.

Well ASUS standard underclocks it to 630MHz and you can't change it in the BIOS(only with the buggy 8804 BIOS). I have installd san andreas and i'll make a movie in a couple of days.

Well actually an hour after this movie I made another one with 800x480 and found out that GTAVC does support this weird resolution and then it works even better. The movie is my reaction video,, then it runs at 800x480.

This is basicly what I did:

1. install Vice city from a CD/image to an exteral device (i used a 40GB external USB2.0 HDD)

2. hook up an external screen and set the videocard to that screen

3. start the game and set the resolution to 800x600

4. open the game on the screen of the eee pc

5. set the resolution to 800x480 and set widescreen to "on".

6. Play

well when you hook up an external screen (in my case a samsung 203b) I didn't get the option for 800x480, so I first set it to 800x600 so the eee screen can display the game, and then I set the resolution 800x480

Well, the minimum processor speed is 1 ghz, zo I don't think it's going to work with the standard 630mhz. Once I've got the 'overklock' working and it's at 900mhz, I'll give it a go.

Ik heb hem zelf uit taiwan besteld via Ebay. Hij was met 6 dagen binnen en je hebt alleen een paar tekentjes bij het toetsenbord en een US stekker, maar dat is niet hinderlijk ofzo. Hij werkt echt fijn al is het wel even wennen.

Ik vind het dat geld zeker waard. Ik neem hem mee naar school voor aantekeningen ed. Hij weegt echt niks en je kan hem zo overal meenemen. Wel zou ik eerst het toetsenbordje ergens proberen, want als je erg dikke vingers hebt kan dat nogal gaan irriteren. In de pauze kan je er even een simpel spelletje op doen of een divx/xvid/dvd(image) kijken.

Een externe 40GB 4200RPM harde schijf (uit mijn oude laptop). Verder moet je een los scherm hebben om hem de eerste keer te kunnen starten. De eerste keer wil gta nameljk in 640x480 starten, en deze res ondersteund het scherm van de EEE niet. als je daarna de resolutie op 800x600 zet kan je hem gewoon starten vanaf je EEE. En dan kan je hem ook nog op 800x480 zetten ben ik nu achter, ik zal nog wel een filmpje maken.

Just the standard 512MB. It's running from the usb harddrive on the right. It's a 40GB 4200RPM disk from my old laptop in a usb 2.0 casing. It's also working at 800x480, the native res. of the EEE. I'll make a new video of that later.
