This song brings a tear to my eye every time. A hard-working American farmer confronts his boss about his job being outsourced to China, but he knows its futile. My father worked for 40 years for the same "American" vegetable company and I saw this exact scenario Darnielle describes ruin my family. He got sacked like it was nothing to them. Then he died. More artists need to be so honest and defy the liberals who everyone knows controls the recording industry. Keep fighting the good fight!
