what do you do ..if you have a external hardrive but the ps3 with not recognize it. how do yuo fix that issue? anyone has anwser e-mail it to tim@tpe-usa.com thanks
Hi there, I have a some questions. I want to add more memory to my PS3. I get the whole saving thing to a external hard drive.
Just if I have downloaded games BUT HAVE NOT installed them on my PS3 yet when I swop out the drivers will they still be there?
Also the Games that I have bought when the NEW hard drive is in would these games still be there? or would I need to download them again? And if so would I need to PAY for these games again?
I had a red light of death come up on mine and couldn't back up the hard drive Does anyone know if you can back up the hard drive using your computer and then install later. Because the ps3 wont start without the formatting the hard drive.
This answered a big question I've had with a bunch of ps3 hdd installs don't due to them assumeing your upgrading a NIB(New In Box) PS3 "If I back-up my data on my old hdd can I restore it on the new one?"I'm happy to have come across this video.
Thanks upgraded my PS3 and I am enjoying the added space. *Note - make sure to put the blue screw back in at the end before putting the HDD face back on.
hi my uk pal ps3 80gb does not have that handle to slide to the right and it does not have that gap to move it to the right i was just looking at it or is there somethig else you need to take of before you see the handle. help
it wont work its not the 60gb hardrive its the actual chip thats inside the ps3 that makes it play ps1 ps2 games. i can have a 60gb that plays ps1/ps2 games the actual original launched version and have a 320gb updated hardrive. dont no about the program thing dont think it exists
thanks for the reply, but just to clarify. Before i spend my money, the only thing that allows ps3 to play ps2 games is a chip that is only inside a 60g ps3, and the chip can it be inserted into a modified ps3 or is that a bit of wishfull thinking on my part ? thanks again.
Hey whats going on BJ713... I have a couple of questions t ask you if you don't mind answering them for me :) Can i upgrade My PS3 t any GB over 160 and if so what kind would you yourself think of getting ... Ive heard as long as the size is 2.5" and it's 5400RPM it wouldn't matter what GB you got.... But the video i saw before this one said if you go over 160GB it could damage your PS3 :( is thr any truth t this?
It doesn't matter what size your hard drive is. Any size will work as long as it's a 2.5" Serial ATA drive. I can't make any promises that a 3rd party hard drive won't damage your PS3, but most of them will work.
