In AUS these collars are used in combination with an electric fence, of sorts, buried underground. When the dog approaches the field, it gives off warning beeps followed by a shock. The dog learns where not to go, therefore protecting it from dangers such as traffic or wildlife.
i want to kill people who hurt or put those colloers on dogs or animals if i sow someone with a dog and they put one on the dog i would take it of and put it around the owners neck and make sure it will hurt so much that they would learn there lesin

He would have spent his life muzzled on a lead or put to sleep. We rescued this dog knowing he had a problem and we have solved many problem dogs, he was different. Well after 1 month with the collar and only 2 days where he was shocked, he changed and became the most lovable funniest happy go luck dog I've ever owned.
it doesnt actually do harm to the dog it just teaches the dog not to bark - my brother uses one on his dog (who by the way has lots of fur) not because he wants to be cruel just because that really is the only way to make his dog STOP BARKING!. I think it very much depends on the dog, the circumstances under which its used, the amount of fur the dog has etc... as to whetther on not its cruelty to use one of these things
Isn't it a dogs natural instinct to bark. Next you will be taking them to church to teach them to only f*** the one partner and only once they have been married first. Easier to have the dog put down if it barks too much.
