when i type in 'flash_image recovery recovery.img' it says ' no such file or directory' what do i do, i've tried the cmd where its on the sdcard?? how do i make it work?

It's still Android. You just put a different ROM. And yes there is going back to original Factory settings.

when I do the telnet commands, it don't give me an error message, but when I go to the gay ass phone screen and press alt s it only shows the install screen for like a second, then goes back to the gay ass phone screen.

Did you put the Hard SPL And renamed it to root? And as for the commands I kind of messed up on my video and didn't show exactly what needed to be there. You should have gotten like symbols after each command line, So if you did then you did it right. if you didn't try the commands again.

Yes, but make sure you install radio first. But yes you may put any other rom imaginable.

I'mnot sure what you did wrong. But try to rename your sdcard to sdcard just like that. and then rename what you want to flash to update.

Unplug ur cable. Restart phone. Make sure you have an internet plan.

Just look up on ebay unlock code for G1. And at the store just go there and tell em u have a cingular card and u want to use it on ur G1. they will either tell u yes or no or u'll have to pay. just ask. like any of the sales associates.

I believe that if you've been with Cingular for more than 3 months they provide unlock codes. If not then you can buy an unlock code on ebay.

All you need to do is Restore it to RC33 By Holding home and pressing power and make sure you put RC33 on ur SD and rename it to update.

After that you can add themes.

If you want cupcake add it but do not add themes. It's either or.
