i think something to add for all of you leaving for BCT and are nervous about it is that no matter how physically or mentally strong you are before you leave your ds will find something wrong with you and you will get treated pretty shitty. just keep in mind what you are there for and what there job is. if you work hard you will be a soldier. you are there to learn and no matter how the ds acts he knows that too. they build you from the ground up and it will make you stronger. good luck
Hi! Very informative video...i just wanted to make sure I understood you. You said that you were able to drive your husband to his AIT location? I leave in May so I wanted to know what my options are...also, was your husband allowed to bring his cell phone? I see videos of people with their cells. Anyway, thanks for the awesome video! :)
@groves1990 hey goodluck!! when it gets tough and u think ur not gonna make it just remember this "millions of people have done this before me, so i can do it too!" it helped me and it will help you too

@DoyleVonFrankenstein if they find something that will conflict with training they will hold the soldier at reception until its fixed. it could potentially push back graduation, so i would suggest to get any major dental procedures done beforehand at your personal dentist. But very few people have problems with dental that would restrict training. They will do a full exam of everything at reception.
my boyfriend said something about his recruiter saying he can't get mail in boot camp? Hes going to fort knox so I donno if that makes any difference?
Also...I'm curious what if I'm not his dependent and we get married later(which we will be) how long would it take for the papers to process?and in the mean time would I not be able to live with him? oh and how do we establish base housing?
lol sorry for all the questions....and thanks in advance
He should be able to get mail while he's at bct, his recruiter's probably messing around with you. You have to do all the paperwork at the 1st MSC (Mission Support Company) in one of the bases, it could take a week, give or take. It depends on where he's staying if you can live with him or not and base housing, you have to go to base and ask about that and they'll do their best to help you with everything.
You got a Pretty Mouth and I know ur Hubby Loves that... Ummmmmm

What do you mean dental needs to be done before they go? - before they even leave for reception, or while at reception?
