  • stupid douche bag, you drive like a fag.

  • 195kph = 121mph.

My 2010 Prius did 115 though, I have a video of it.

  • Perfect Prius:)

  • Nobody buys a Prius for performance. You guys come across as real dummies. It is a freaking ECONOMY car.Can you comprehend that?

  • OMG i would laugh, if i would see a prius in front of me on the left side of a highway:D

  • @JekaGoesRawr i hope i see you on the highway. i live in the left lane.

  • @njhcomposer hmm you´re the one who stopps the traffic on the left lane?

  • tops at 108mph.

  • I test Drove this Prius. shit...got no "No PoWer at all"

It will take more than 1 Minute, to get on 60mph

At least is Clean Air Vehicle

  • @pbcms13 the 2010 prius takes 9 sec to get to 60mph.

  • ooh and make sure uis your goign to do this to get z rated or better tireds or they will pop at this speed after 5-15 mins

  • ooom to everyone saying teh tires will not go 150 mpg its german so i kph so 187 k is 115 mph

  • it keeps pulling

  • So, they won't go 150 M.P.H. like an idiot I know claims? What are you guys arguing about? @heartdales You saw 187? I saw it get up to 195. (why am I here commenting on a car that is one step above a "Smart" car? A shitbox that is about as ugly as a Pontiac Aztec? I'm going back to where I'm normal again)

  • @forku2umf you'll be driving one douche bag!!

  • @0:04 samsung message tone :D

  • @bmyflyby

just shutup you dont know what your talking about

  • Mercedes C Klass & Audi TT : 2

    Prius : 0

  • Powerful electric motors are good for efficiency as electric motors do better at light loads and internal combustion does better at heavier loads and lower rpm.

  • @TimpBizkit actually electric motors have more torque then internal combustion.

  • @stevenmorookian16 Which electric motors? The one in a hand fan? Electric motors can make torque at 0rpm because they are powered by electro magnetic fields rather than by internal combustion. So they can produce torque from nothing unlike IC but I can't think of any evidence to suggest that they produce MORE torque than IC.

  • @mrcoogs86 I don't know man, I have seen some electric motor cars that have hundreds of lbs in lead acid batteries and they haul ass without the need to even clutch when shifting gears.

  • @stevenmorookian16 but are they more efficient at high torque than at medium torque? If you load down an electric motor and make it struggle, it loses efficiency. Power peak and below is fairly efficient but load it down more (too high a gear ratio) and it loses efficiency and power.

  • @TimpBizkit Good thing it has gears. And that is why you take it easy on the gas pedal when pulling large stuff (like any other towing vehicle). It WIll pull. Electric motors have torque right off the 0rpm bat.

  • @stevenmorookian16 petrol will always be used in off-road cars trucks will always be powered by diesel engines because they just don't have the right torque for off road driving and heavy towing cars suck trucks are way better

  • @MsCrappants My F-150 handles the woods and the roads just fine with that twin- i beam suspension. It also runs off of petrol with a 4.9 liter inline 6 engine.

  • @MsCrappants Not even half of the worlds produced trucks are diesel. Gasoline revs so much higher and can generate more acceleration for offroad racing. If it's torque you want then for sure go with diesel. Baja 500 and 1000 racers don't use diesel because it's not a viable method of running offroad sofar. Does not matter what is under the hood, if the chassis is purpose built it will do so.

  • km/h or mph?

  • @HeartsDales km/h :] if you watch the dash close enough you can read out 187k/mh etc..

  • why do germans buy Prius lmao.

  • it is much faster than i expect

  • i saw 179 i was like shit! oh wait not mph lol

  • @0285rm 130mph in 2010 Prius, seen it with my own eyes, was kinda fun, a bit, I yawned :D

  • you can remove the governor in a prius, its not easy though. Ive read about it on a prius forum. The guy had V rated tires, and was able to hit 130~ mph, albeit slowly

  • A Prius is ONLY effective when driving in the CITY. Freeway driving still uses the internal combustion engine.

Using the Breaks charges the battery and City driving is where you use Electric.

    Duh.

Although the Prius might go over 108mph, it's tires and suspension aren't rated at that speed. It's a Suicide mission.

  • @TheAmazingCreative hahah do you own one? that's all false...tires of 15" can go up to 210km/h or 135mph,and 17" can go to 240km/h or ~150mph

  • @ggtontoyono the smaller the wheels the faster you go, so what you're saying makes no sence!!

  • @bmwflyby are you fucking kidding me? just compare the code of speed of a normal tire of 14-15" and other of 20"

  • @TheAmazingCreative i own a prius... and i find it more economical ON the freeway, NOBODY can wait to accelerate the damn thing to a decent speed when its in just electric mode... but when i get it up to 60MPH i average well over 50mpg

  • Bullshit , its faster than my ecobox , F^^king 180 k/hr governor. Bullshit. :(

  • I have a prius for weekday work, to save fuel in stop start traffic, so i can use that money for my lamborghini diablo on the weekends.

  • faster than I woulda thought, must be the good aerodynamics

  • Flight to Holland?

  • Comment removed

  • 1:31 that guy with the bmw was an idiot...check out my videos with my 06 prius in romania ... amnd by the way nice car lol

  • i want the 3 gn of the prius :) much nicer and faster and and and...than my ( 2007 prius) :)

  • @TheCarista If you want a fast car, here's a tip: Buy a fast car. Seriously, a Prius at top speed can't be economic. No car at top speed is. And while a real fast car isn't even sweating at 190, the Prius has to fight. There was this race, M3 vs Prius (2nd gen I believe). The Prius had to drive around a track as fast as it could, the M3 had the job of following it. The M3 was more economic than the Prius.

  • @kadvid It was in Top Gear (UK) that they made the test

  • @kadvid cause they needed to rev the bollocks off the Prius and the more powerful bmw was in a more comfortable rev range where it chugged along more efficiently. I'm not sure whether the 'playing the accordion' technique could have been utilised in this scenario (not accelerating and braking as much i.e following at a steay speed in stop start traffic)

  • @kadvid Comparing my small engined Corolla with my fathers SAAB 9000 turbo we had the same result. Mine was way more economic in city traffic but at speeds over 140km/h the consumption of my car raised drastically. At 180 I burned 20l/100km while the SAAB needed only 14-16.

  • @kadvid but the m3 would not be as economic around town, or as quiet, true, if someone wants a fast car, they should get a fast car, I agree, but if they want a relatively average car, with a good 0 - 30mph courtesy of the full instantaneous torque of the electric motor, giving it great acceleration away from the lights but not at 0 - 60, and good economy around town and on the motorway, prius is a good bet, I mean, seriously, who puts a prius on a test track? lol :)

  • @TheMegaJet That's true, though the M3 makes a noise that is pretty nice. And I've been chasing a Prius on the Autobahn recently at about 150-160. Yes of course it can do it, but there are other cars that make more sense for those speeds (though admittedly the Prius is rather aerodynamic, so perhaps it might even make sense? But then again it carries a lot of unneccessary weight... hm).

Btw. I did about 6.8l/100km averaging about 140km/h. In summer with winter tyres which add a litre or two...

  • @kadvid I think it it is quite lightweight since most mechanics have been replaced with electronics, it's about 70kg heavier than an RCZ sports coupe so for the size it aint bad, but I think it has a lot of potential. I think, what if electric powered the back, and diesel / petrol at the front? the electric motor would give it that instant torque to pull away, and if powerful enough, could power it at high speeds alone, with engine too it would have ther ICE's benefits, hybrid 4x4 with power :D

  • @TheMegaJet It's still a bit heavier than regular cars of that size I think. Not much though.

I'd rather have one or two powerful electric motors + a diesel generator and enough batteries for at least 50-100 km. The generator could be optimized for generating electricity and turn off as soon as the battery have recharged enough to reach the target where you plug it in.

  • @kadvid I think it could be a bit lighter yeah, but if it is about 1 person heavier than a light sports coupe I don't think it is doing too bad, still, lot of potential, like the tesla roadster or the 918 hybrid spyder, good examples of hybrid tech being used for speed and not fuel economy exclusively

  • @TheCarista The Prius makes sense if you want to drive slow. Around town etc. But for driving fast? The electric engine only really helps in town (stop and go traffic, traffic lights, etc.), when going fast the battery will be flat soon and the car has to rely on the engine, and at that point the Prius is a regular car with a small engine that is too heavy compared to the competition (ergo it is less economic). Get a Diesel. Economic and fast.

  • @kadvid Agreed, a turbo diesel is far more economical to run and faster. A prius will do 30MPG which is rubbish. The electric only propels the car for 2miles, they are a waste of money and 20 years behind the times. Diesel technology has moved on, if toyota were serious they would have a diesel prius! The MPG will show 999 when the engine is off, people complained when it showed 000 ! MPG is calculated with the engine running only to see how long 1 gallon lasts in continuous use.

    .

  • @urbex2007 Yeah, but it really depends on how you use the car. In towns with stop and go traffic a Prius will make sense (especially the new plug in version), on longer journeys it won't. I do wonder though why most hybrids are running on petrol. Why aren't there more (or any at all?) diesel hybrids? Recently I drove a VW Touran, with the 1.9 TDI with 105 bhp. Not the most modern diesel by VW. But it was fun to drive! Even fully loaded (to the roof) it pulled pretty good and did 170 km/h.

  • @urbex2007 30 mpg at 180/194 isnt good??? I think its very good. My diesel isnt realy better at this speed regions and all other petrol cars i know need about 12-13 Liter/ 18-18.8 mpg(us gallons)

  • hell yeah

  • Helemaal Leeip Ouwe !

    Damn right nog meer movies
