Raced P-21's for five years back in the early 90's. Best bikes the world has seen. I am picking one of these up as well as a cross frame to race this season. Unbeatable product.
Ride quality: steel is better (more absorbent and flexible), although suspension forks and carbon bits can negate this advantage.
Weight: steel is heavier, but not obscenely so if it is a high end frame.
Steel lasts longer if you take care of it (don't let it rust and it lasts forever). Many times steel frames that are damaged can be fixed. Aluminium has to be tossed if damaged.
Looks flimsy.
