  • Because it is my guitar, and that's what I like to play. Why don't YOU buy one, and make a video of "worthy" music.

  • Why don't you play something worthy of this guitar? I mean why are you only playing distorted power chords and bar chords on a hollow body electric? Definitely not a good showcase of this instrument.

  • rat fink.

  • My gut feeling is that Xaviere only purchased one run of these guitars, and that the quality was hit or miss. We shall see if they ever get any more...

  • @slotrod

just got one about 2 weeks ago from guitar fetish.com and the quality was pretty poor..

I put a Bigsby B30 on it with a roller bridge and new tuners.

had to have a guy I work with level ALL the frets!

the binding on the base of the neck is hammered to shit, looks like the guys at the factory used it as a hammer or maybe hammered it outta a bad neck joint.

I'll say it sounds good though and after some serious set up, it plays pretty good now.

  • Anyone on the fence about these guitars had better jump on one soon or pass! After months of being out of stock the only colors left are amber sunburst and black. I fell in love with the black finish but , sad to say got a lemon! The build was pretty sloppy: the upper f-hole binding was jagged and had cloth fibers imbedded along the edge; paint overspray inside the f-holes; bends on the high e slip and bind on the wooden bridge; the tuners had major backlash ... all this for $300???

  • The guitar action smooth. Very much like a Gibson ES-135. Not quite as smooth as a Gretsch. The action is set nice and low.

  • uhh.. how does it feel playing though? Good materials? smooth action? It looks smooth but we all know how looks can be deceiving. I'm considering buying one.. but I want something that actually plays smooth and not like a 2x4 with strings attached.

  • @Alienatedsmilies Despite all the flaws in the build,I adjusted the truss rod and wooden bridge until Igot a nice low buzz free action. In spite of the sloppy tuners and the e string binding on the bridge , the guitar sounds killer thru a FENDER Hot Rod Deville. Mine came with heavy gauge strings with a wound "g" string. Action felt smooth but could use some tweaking. Be prepared to upgrade !Add $289 + $35shipping ,$ 60-$70 for new tuners and roller bridge and you're looking at $389 bucks.

  • ex-a-vee-er. Xaviere. Like francis xaviere?

  • @superlou1s

    Z-a-vee-air.

    the X makes a "Z" sound.

  • @williamthomasmi10- That's not what it says on the demo videos on guitarfetish.

  • It is a full hollowbody, with just a block under the bridge.

  • Sounds good. IS that model fully hollow or got a centre block like the 335-alikes?

  • Cool!

  • In person, how much like a Gretsch would you say this sounds?

  • @guitardbucket the pickups that are in it are copys of Gretsch pickups

  • Ratfink!
