Oh and it doesnt hurt that much? Ok but it still hurts it! I have a 3mnth. old Siberian Husky and it barks and howls but noone in our family minds. Because we know thats how dogs are and trying to change such a basic thing like barking is marked [ SICK! ] in mine (and possibly my family's) book(s).

I too think a shock collar is a bit much, but what most people fail to realize when they test is that dog's have much thicker skin than a human, and they also have more hair to cover that skin. Not saying shock collars are right, just saying that although a dog gets shocked, it probably won't be as severe as what a human feels.
