  • If I squashed my cat like that he would scratch my face off.

  • When she finds Cat it's just the most touching moment in cinema's history ;)

  • She doesn't deserve Cat...

  • bitch got told!!!

  • lol cat is smushed

  • I totally agree with him, I told the same stuff to my last partner, got to get honest with urself, need to stop running away :)

  • Animal cruelty last 25-30 seconds!!!!

  • holy cow those piano chords are incredible..

  • SHES MY IDOL

  • I love her so mucH!

  • So let me get this straight; the woman actually runs after the man to make up with him?

  • @EGRJ yes. I know right?

  • @padfootpak Makes a nice contrast to modern RomComs, which go out of their way to make it the dude's fault, even when it doesn't make any sense. (Hitch, 40 Days and 40 Nights).

  • LOVE! I made a Breakfast at Tiffany's video to one of my original songs, Mr. Valentine's Day. Check it out if you get the chance. :)

  • CRIED LIKE A FRECKEN BAYBEH

  • most tear jerking final scene in film history!!!!

  • I am Paul Varjak.

  • One of the best! There are few (if any) Audrey Hepburn-caliber actresses any more...not to mention Liz Taylor, Katherine Hepburn, Bette Davis, Rosalind Russell....

  • Such a good movie.

  • The writing of this film is just pure genius!! I would kill to write something half as amazing as this film is.

  • Can someone please tell me what's the name of the song where the piano and violins are playing while she's looking for cat ? I looked up moon river and didn't hear it :( It's so beautiful !

  • @jusztbecause it is. all i know it's the score of Henry Mancini and Johnny Mercer's collaboration.

  • @NOELLE01j I’m going to look that up and see if I can find an audio clip of it, thanks ! In the meantime, I found an artist that actually sampled that score from the end of the scene…take a listen guys ! Look up: Miss Platnum “Drink My Wine” :)

  • I cried so hard when the cat came out, lol.

  • I always cry when she lets cat go haha

  • The cat looks like keyboard cat.

  • I read the book a few days ago. It's fantastic, but I do prefer the film's ending! The one from the book can be interpreted by the reader as he wants, but in the film, it's so definitive! :D

  • One of my favourite final scenes...(tear dropping). Stunning Audrey Hepburn gets the cat & the guy while in the background you have Henry Mancini's gorgeous song Moonriver playing... Priceless!

  • Awesome ending. Fabulous movie.

  • i mean i love they ended up together and all but damn i was so worry for the cat!

  • @irenesings *face palm* I know that but Moon River doesn't have those amazing piano chords that play when she's looking for the cat. This is hopeless -_-

  • Holly reminds me of a character I love from a japanese cartoon called Hetalia. His name is,Arthur Kirkland. He is classy, funny, yet extremely insecure. I love both Holly and Arthur,Their beauitful but they have flaws just like the rest of us.

  • Great Movie! Great Actress and Truly one of my favorite scenes Raw,Beautiful and Very touching!!!

  • poor cat. wet and squiiished.

  • I bet that cat was super pissed.

  • I love movies from the 1950s and early 60s, everyone looks so good. The studios really focused on making sure the stars had great clothes, make up, lighting, etc. Now actors insist they're "artists" and demand "creative freedom" and they end up looking like shit. Glamour is gone.

  • where can I find the damn song wit hose amazing piano chords!?!?!?

  • @kahleox The song is called "Moon River" and was a big hit at the time. Music by Henry Mancini, words by Johnny Mercer.

  • OMG, I cried for hours when I saw this scene for the first time... Luv the poor cat and his sad face under the rain

  • classic all time <3

  • They invented the kiss in the rain <3

  • umm i am familiar with the movie which is why i have the soundtrack!...and if you have the soundtrack then you'd know that the chords at the beginning arent on the song!..THANKS

  • If only they made movies like this now... :(

  • 4:24 " I love it when a plan comes together"

Love the movie, love Audrey and i love cat

  • Man, when she abandons her sweet cat in the rain, I really hate Holly...until she redeems herself at the very end.

  • @KellyGreen5555 At least this should teach Holly not to throw her cute kitty out

  • CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELLME THE NAME OF THE PIECE IN THE FINAL SCENE

  • @babydoll32293 err moonriver?

  • @babydoll32293 Moon River.

I guess you're not familiar with the movie?

  • I love her face at 4:25 it's so awkward. :)

  • One happy squishy squishhy wet cat

  • 4:31 in real life: HISS!!! HISSSSSSSSS!!! .... SCRATCH!!!

At least that'd be my kitten <3

  • watch?v=m5Ey3Eglnfw

watch this video about Miss Hepburn

  • where are these piano chords scored? anyone got any idea?

  • that is one wet pussy.

  • ‎50 years ago today Holly Golightly entered our lives with an opening shot of a statuesque woman in a slick little black number eating a danish in front of Tiffany's...i saw this movie when i was seven and fell madly in love with everything Audrey Hepburn...she was class personified and a great human being...it's my favorite scene from Breakfast At Tiffany's...it's what made me dream of being kissed in the rain :P

  • My favorite movie ending ever! Audrey and George invented the kiss in the rain! This scene is supposedly in NYC, but it was actually filmed in LA, as indicated by those boxes that Cat was hiding out in ;) 3:42

  • I always feel so bad for the cat staying in the rain when she leaves him there :( He looks so sad and wet and cute.

  • Poor taxi driver, having to listen to all that drama LOL

  • why can't all cab-drivers be like this?

  • I cried Myself Watching This.

I Have 2 Cats Just like This

They don't make movies like this Anymore.

The Bluray 50th Anniversary just came out

Buy it you won't be sorry

  • Blair Waldorf remember me Holly.

  • Is it just this version or has TCM continued it's horriable pratice of speeding up films. men with deep bass voices wind up sounding like munchkins. they seem to get worse every year. More films and more speeded up. audio distortion

  • Orangey, the animal actor who plays "Cat" had his best role (IMO) in "Rhubarb" a wondwrful comedy about a cat who inherits a baseball team. Unfortunately, it's not on DVD, which pisses me off immensely.

  • very excellent analysis!

  • i bawl every time :S

  • Cat?? cat??? CAT? CAAAT? CAAAT? CCCCAAAAAAAAAATTTTTT??!! cat?....cat? Cat!

  • ( read below first ....) A beautiful ending ... Holly realises the mistake she's made and searches frantically for her cat. Just when she's about to give up, the little rascal appears. She cuddles him and Moon River kicks in - gets me every time! Powerful stuff! She did the right thing. She stayed with the man who loved her and she found her cat whom she now realises that she loves!..... I love my cat too!

  • I'm 42 and amazingly enough I hadn't seen this movie until tonight. Yes, everybody has heard of Audrey Hepburn and Breakfast at Tiffany's but I just never got around to watching it. I had a vague notion that there was a cat in the film and being a cat lover myself, that's what made me sit down and watch it! Well I have to say that this final scene had me in tears and I defy any cat lover to watch this scene without crying! ........... (continued)

  • It´s hard for me not to cry every time I see this very scene. Thanks for posting.

  • I started watching this until he dropped the ring on her lap. Then I realised to shut the laptop down and watch the film again.

  • I think they should of had" breakfast at tiffanys" part 2!!!!! I love the " you know whats wrong with you ms whoever you are" speech!!!

  • Just the best scene of the world, always makes me cry like a baby :(

  • Man this scene always makes me sad! :(

  • that cat is saying i cant breath i cant breath

  • when i get a cat, im going to name it Cat, in honor of this movie. :)

  • poooooooor kittyyyyyyyyyyyyy!

  • @sachterhof that's some kind of awkward love sandwich

  • ive always wondered why my mom likes cats so much... this is her favorite movie.

  • ohhhh lol i remember this :D my mom was watching it when i was like...4 and i was just sitting there wondering okay wtf is this shit

  • THIS is THE movie scene that makes me cry the most. Something about the people, the cat, the music and dialogue all coming together. It's a happy cry, though.

  • Arguably the most elegant and classiest actress in the history of the World.

  • @Neverbend Without a doubt.

    Hepburn was a one timer.

Many can try, but she can NEVER be copied.

    Her beauty is beyond anyone.

The best part of the film.

  • one of the most RACIST films ever made...........

  • Comment removed

  • @northshore7x This is the least. The film is 1961, racism was something normal in the United States ... This detail does not detract from the greatness of this film.

  • @BeatrizSun It most certainly does.........ever see the movie dragon with jason scott lee........ask mrs bruce lee what she thinks of this movie........racism is racism...............

  • Baby, you are already in that cage you built it yourself. ... no matter where you run you just running into yourself. Classic.

  • 11 people have never kissed anybody in the rain

  • Audrey Hepburn is my IDOL.

  • i love that scene <3

  • god damnit...audrey hepburn was so damn hot..

  • that bitch

  • Beautiful movieeeee. audrey hepburn is the best!!!

  • I was watching this movie with the volume up high, and when Audrey started yelling "Cat Cat, where are you Cat?" My cat came running! It was the funniest thing in the world. :)

  • this really makes me cry every time.

  • omg da poor cat..it's SQUISHED in between...gorgeous movie....

  • am i the only one who felt like audrey was going to sneeze right before the kiss ?!? i love this movie !! <3

  • Yep, cat gooshed between them. but staying there.

  • Cole? From LA Noire?

  • Never have wet trenchcoats looked so glamorous. RIP, Audrey.

  • I would just love to know how she named the cat after this ;)

  • I need a good cry and this is the scene to do it for me!

  • 1:00 straight up belongs in 'Rio'

  • "People do belong to each other, because that's the only chance anybody's got for real happiness"

    God, this is so true.

  • Is it possible to watch this w/o crying? Dont think so. God I love this movie. One of my favorites ever.

  • so romantic

  • Can someone Please Tell Me Where I can See The Full Movie Without Download?!

  • Alright so I seriously need to find where I can get the song that plays as soon as she realized she was losing Paul cause it's beautiful but they never put it on the soundtrack!

  • I think she does this scene so well partly because early in life she was in the situation Cat was in. Not the character Holly, but the actor Audrey Hepburn. She knew what it was like to be cold and scared and alone. And of course she was just a great actor, too.

  • Oh man, I was so worried about cat. Then when she found it it was like PHEEEWW.

  • poooor cat!

  • well baby you're already in a cage.

  • omg best ending in a movie. I now have an eternal crush on audrey hepburn.

  • When I saw that cat staring at the cab leaving, I was devastated

  • Kitty!

  • Crap, I started crying.

  • cant help but cry when that poor wet cat meows and comes out from behind the box and the musics all emotional. i love this film as a woman its really easy to identify with holly/lula mae and her insecurities

  • poor no named slob

  • I always interpreted Cat as symbolizing Holly's true self, the part of her that CAN love. She is so disconnected with this part of herself, she refuses to acknowledge it. She won't give this part of herself a voice or a name, just as the cat has no name and doesn't "belong" to her. She throws Cat out just as she proceeds in this ultimate assault on her own soul by denying her love for Paul. When she realizes her loss, she is true to herself and persues Paul. Her true self is back;so is cat.

  • @enya1292 Nice criticism!

  • @ttlms

    thanks! :-)

  • @enya1292 Now I know, the greatness of breakfest at tiffany's.

  • @enya1292 good interpretation

  • @enya1292 Beautiful <3

  • @enya1292 thats my opinion, too

  • @enya1292 ABSOLUTELY.ME TOO!

  • @enya1292 wow...well said..you summed it up perfectly! love this movie SO much!

  • @enya1292 Well done. And she frantically pursues her (self) cat and only she can retrieve it, only she can get her self back.

  • i love the ending with the cat just being like "...well this is awkward..."

  • i heard 9 cats were used in this movie!!

  • oooo mau gosh, i've been looking for this movie, for so long, finally founded it))))

  • poor cat :(

  • Comment removed

  • The piano arrangement in this particular part of the score was soooo ahead of its time! I love it!!!

  • @MikeySaysJazz can u tell me the name of the arrangement?

  • @krizanacmary its barbra streisand moon river

  • @InsideMyWish yeah moon river is the soundtrack i know about that :)

but the instrumental part where she's sitting in the cab is what i mean (i think it's used in a commercial that i saw not a long time ago ) but thanks anyway :)

  • old movies are more with acting.. todays movies happened to be realistic but dang hepburn is indeed pretty

  • This is one of the best movies i've ever watched. I cry everytime that I hear the kitty's "miaw" ! And audrey's the best actress ever too.

  • spent the entire movie waiting for them to eat breakfast at a jewellery store XD! Also what is this 61? BUFFAUNTS EVERYWHERE!!

  • spent the entire movie waiting for them to eat breakfast at a jewellery store XD!

  • that cat is so being squished by them kissing! very cute though

  • Poor Cat! Glad they found her pet (who was one of Holly's only true friends in this movie).

  • The music is my favorite part of this entire scene, why is it not on the soundtrack!?!?

  • Saw this film for the first time ever yesterday, and have fallen in love with it!! I want a Fred/Paul!!

  • ah... my favorite movie ever...... i watched it like thousand times...

  • @Alexisblakely Thank you for restoring my faith,(when it comes to their taste in films, any way,) in the youth of to-day.

  • is the cat's name really just Cat? LOL

  • @kirarox99 If you watched the movie fully, you'd understand why.

  • @kirarox99 Yeah, it really is just Cat. She never names him, she explains why in the beginning.

  • First ever 'kissing in the rain'-scene. (Did you know you can make everything into one word?)

  • Love me, Love my CAT :D

  • Generally i hate romantic comedies because they are for the most part corny, unrealistic and stupid. And not funny. Does that make me cynical? Probably. But Tiffany's never grows old for me, i think Audrey has alot to do with it, i could watch her forever.

  • CAT!!! MEOW!!! CAT!!! MEOW!!!

  • Haha, I don't know why but I always get really emotional when she kicks out the cat.

    Anyways, this movie is incredible.

  • totally agree with BuenaD. Rubbish ending!

  • stupid ending! It totally ruins the hole story and it's conflict. The book doesn't have a happy end with reason! It just doesn't fit into her problem/conflict. It can't be solved by preaching a sermon.

  • What a wonderful woman!

  • as much as i dislike cats, i love this movie :)

  • where can I watch the whole movie?

I just read the book, I really liked it and though I know that the movie is very different I'd like to watch it.

  • Liked the movie ending, book ending is totally different, Holly ends up leaving, Fred goes looking for cat, and see's cat in a house, thinking Holly has a place too.

  • I've seen this movies only a few times, but it was my mom's favorite that will always live on.

  • My favorite movie ever. Even just watching the ending makes me cry!

  • THE DREAMS OF MR MULDOON is now out on AMAZON KINDLE @2.99.The publishers said this book would make a great film......if you like this film you will love THE DREAMS OF MR MULDOON.Best wishes.

  • @Koamonster Your interpretation of the musical score is pretty interesting I think the use of Moon River is more of a leitmotiv for who Audrey really is not who she pretends to be, it always comes out when she's true to herself and at the end the use of it shows that she's being true to herself in realizing she's in love.

  • I haven't watched the movie, why did she kick the cat out in the first place? Bitch.

  • @bakibol you should totally watch it. you definatly won't be sorry. it would make more sense also. hahaha seriously you should watch it. it's sweet.

  • this makes me cry

  • Melodramatic tripe. No wonder Capote hated this film.

  • blairs dream

  • i'm not very fond of cats but this poor little thing is getting soaked and squashed between two people... that' can't be nice not even for a cat
