@matmm100 You might be able to speak with Dahlback, who are located in Sweden. Otherwise, try 034 Motorsport in the USA. Both are good with the 5-cyl engine, and can steer you towards the right upgrades.

@matmm100 it's tricky, you need to do a lot for yourself. That means welding, measuring, cutting, etc. And then you get the electronics, that's also a difficult job. And finding some bitch-ass brakes if you put an S2 engine in there, to fit the B1, is also not easy. So you'd better get a stock S2 from another country, unless you have lots of time, money and knowledge.

@P2CHATE Ehm modding an engine for dragracing is not uncommon.....

There's no license plates so no MOT (or equivalent) required after putting bigger engine in. And with 900 bhp you don't almost leave a bike. Bike has an 1:1 ratio bhp:kg.

Audi has judging from how it gets away about a similar ratio.

Audi weights about 1300 kg so about 1300 bhp wouldn't surprise me!

You can't really compare horsepower between the two. Compare power/weight ratio instead. A bike with 180hp will always be faster than a regular-sized car with 180hp due to weight and aerodynamic reasons. Also the bike only has one wheel to deliver power to, while a real car must deliver to 4 (real cars are 4wd ;)). That's why cars will have to use a very powerful engine to keep up with bikes, even if the bike is stock.

400HP is not so expensive, ´cause you can use many stock parts. It would cost ~5-6 kEuro Engine only. 450HP+ is where your wallet screams. Starting with Pistons, you need to change nearly everything. 600HP is around 25.000 Euro and more Engine only. HTH

400 HP is quite expensive. Depends on the engine, I'm currently buiding a 350 hp S2 and spent about 10.000 euro (including brand new kkk24/7200 turbo, new rods, big IC, porsche brakes, the whole thing). If you do it well, it's not cheap. But in the end it should be quite a rush (it's an S2 Sedan, only 306 were made originally).

the old audi 5 cylind engines oare often tuned to 500 or 600HP. It must be a real solid engine, but the imsa gto audi showed how much this engine is capable. I love them and i would rather have an old Audi with a tuned 5 cylinder engine then a modern car like a BMW Z4, everybody has. I also fall in love with the old Audi "quattro's" with 170-220HP but they sell for 25.000 - 30.000 Euros !!
