How to roll up a electric window with a bad switch

I want to say that I will never allow anyone in my presence to make a stupid comment about "Rednecks" ever again! Thank-you guys so much for this post. I just did this on my truck and it worked perfectly. Got the window up and am now ready for the big storm to hit. Just wanted the dang window up!!!! Thank-you again for sharing this bit of information!!

thea should be 2 wires going to the mota inside of the door panel,disconect those wires from the main door switch, get some speaker wire that is long 2 reach the battery, now wire it up to the 2 wires you have disconected from the main switch, then touch the end of those wires on the battery ++ and - - reversing the wires will get the window up + - and - + fuck all the haters this video helped me out....

Really though, why even bother to upload this vid. It does not help at all. Is obvious if you have a bad switch the window wont even move wether you jump it or reverse it. Reversing the polarities to your battery may even damage the vehicle. So youtube viewers dont ruin your car.

I FIGURED IT OUT THE LIL IMBREAD HOOKED BOOSTER CABLES TO THE TWO MAIN WIRES COMING OFF THE WINDOW MOTOR THEN HOOKED THE BOOSTERS UP TO THE POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINALS REVERSE THE POLARITY BY PUTTING THE BOOSTERS ON OPPOSITE TERMINALS IT WILL GO THE OPPOSITE WAY UP OR DOWN THERE WAS NO SPARKS OR ANY HAZARD IT WORKED FOR ME DON'T BE SCARED TO TRY BECAUSE ITS WORKS GREAT :)

I just hooked up some leads, the kind that plug into a multimeter, onto the window motor wires. They actually slide on pretty snug. Now I just carry an 18V drill battery around with me and touch the probes to the battery whenever I want the window up or down. It works nicely.

I used the battery off my 12V Makita cordless impact driver. You can use the 18v Dewalt batteries as well.  The voltage is higher but the amps are too low to fry the coil on the motor.

if switch was broken just pull it out then bridge the connection up at the back of the switch no need for jump leads.

@biehn1337 Same here, my window is stuck in the down position too! I was able to pull it up using my hand and put some tape on it until I can get it fixed.
