So if we have our inalienable rights because MEN declared it in the Declaration of Independance. Isn't it really given to us my men then? Seems confusing. I mean they didn't define "creator", nor did they say WHEN these rights were given to us and HOW.
WHen I quote that to people they say I am using a trump card, instead of explaining
how the 'Truths" are self-evident. I feel they want to explain how they are already self-evident, therefore rendering the need for a creator irrelevant.
The church in this country is 'laodicean' by comparison with the new testament church. They think it's their right to be free. It's not. They think God owes them grace. He doesn't. The true church is coming out of the false organizations in this country who think they have a right to exist.
Jeus Christ had a right to remain in heaven and allow mankind to perish, but He didn't demand that right. His death was grace. His ressurection was grace.
Comment: The grace and truth of God is not our right. Our only right was to be responsible for our sins and pay for them ourselves. Sinful man never had a right to grace and redemption, otherwise it's not grace or redemption.
Comment: It's a matter of grace that we could know true doctrine. The early church knew true doctrine, and they knew true persecution as well. They were considered by Rome to be dogs, who refused to confess Caesar as their Lord, and they could be executed for it.
Question: Where in the letters to the first century church were they instructed to have a comprehensive knowledge of roman civil law?
Comment: Thomas Jefferson was indeed, the ideal founding father of the american republics (plural), as he had the wisdom to oppose big government and central banks, but his theology was in direct conflict with that of the apostles.
