This shold have been the ending for Stringfellow Hawke's life in BlackJack the season 4 introduction with the return of ST. John (Cinjin Hawke) They should Stringfellow Hawke dying in Airwolf with his brother Cinjin next to him then Barry Van Dyke explaining to Jason Locke: "there was something I had to do"
TARDIS isn't a claim, the 2005 series explicitly states the TARDIS is sentient. I don't think KITT is a claim either, it's not explicitly stated but pretty well obvious the 1982 KITT is sentient. IMO the major reason the new series failed was because they diddle fucked around and didn't develop KI3T as a character rapidly or compellingly enough. Unfortunately they didn't even begin to do this until the show's redirection after the KARR arc. The nails were already in the coffin then.
This is one of my favorite episodes of Airwolf. Cool premise, great guest star, and one of the legendary pair of episodes (along with Moffett's Ghost) that implies Airwolf is a living entity, if not out-and-out sentient.
@XH1927 That would explain how-and why-a dying man was able to fly Airwolf. Similar claims have been made in the past about other famous vehicles, from the Enterprise in the various "Star Trek" incarnations,& the TARDIS in "Doctor Who",to more explicitly, KITT & his modern incarnation in "Knight Rider."
The music in the first season - especially the battle sequences would make anyone want to turn up the volume full blast, but not to the point where the next door neighbors would complain about it.
someone once put on one of these vids. that if airwolf was really a mach one plus wouldnt his blades get ripped off...i simple said first of all its airwolf it doesnt need props. second of all its airwolf. it blades cant come off
@TheNightrunner666 When Airwolf would have to use the turbos to exceed Mach 1, the rotors would be disengaged from the main engine. That way, they would fly freely and the stress would not tear them off.
Good episode. It's nice how in the end Hawke and Winchester are friends but sad that Winchester dies but at least he gets to fly the real Airwolf, his dream. You know when Hawke is mega pissed and how the agents are about to a get a hellfire missile straight up the ass.
The best part to me when the music starts right after String hit the turbos cause when ever you here that music someone is about to get a missle in the ass!And you know String is pissed
Arch angel always went around with the finest ladies in tow the licky schweinhund!!!

Has anyone else noticed Dom smiling when Dr. Winchester took the stick? That was pretty touching.

Best line of the show, "It's Orville and Wilbur time".
Best scene is String Fellow gives Dr. Winchester the controls.
Damn good show.

@FozzyUSN Sure was. Long over due for an honest remake. Jan Micheal Vincent is hard to follow. Problems and all, he still the heart and soul Airwolf.

Been almost 20 years since I've seen an episode of Airwolf. I used to watch it all the time as a kid.

Archangel: "Airwolf. Archangel here.. Dr. Winchester says 'fly cold.'
Hawke: "Pull the plug back there, Dom.. they're into our electronics.
Dom: "Everything?"
Hawke: "Every last microchip.. it's Orville and Wilbur time."

I'm afraid that you have that incorrect. The man that played Dr. Winchester was David Carradine.
But all the same.. Mr. Carradine (2008) RIP
