If somebody enjoys a different genre of music than you, it doesn't mean they aren't "experienced," it simply means they hold a different view on what good music is. Simply play what you want to play and people will listen if they want. Classic rock still lives on; we don't need people like you doing remakes of the old songs (which don't sound as good) to prove that point because classic rock merchandise and CD sales do that quite sufficiently already.
