I can honestly say without being biased that Harry Potter is generally so much better written than Twilight. The plot, the characters, everything. It's sad to think that Twilight has become so huge that we are even allowed to compare it to Harry Potter. It's ridiculous. It's like comparing Justin Bieber to the Beatles. I worry about what this world has come to sometimes :/

I can totally understand why Harry Potter won. Like they said, it's mostly teenage girls who read Twilight while kids and adults all enjoy HP. I remember 1st reading HP in 3grade and loving it. And I don't think Bella's very strong-I don't think she's all such a good character. I mean,she tried to drown herself just to hear her bf voice (who does that?!) while in HP 7 when Ron left Hermione remained strong and supported Harry. HP's better-but that's only my opinion being a Harry Potter freak.

Oh it's so much interesting to watch Harry Potter's adventures, then Twilight's. Harry, Ron and Hermione are exploring, they find traces and it is so fun to watch Harry in the chamber of secret' or when he faces chalenges in triwizard tournament. And there is also a lot of death and we feel so sorry for Harry's parents, Fred, Snape, Dumbledore and ofcourse Cedric (so the comfort for killing Voldemort in the end is barely enough. Honestly, I think people like Twilight just beacuse of hot actors!

Relate to Hermione? Completely. She's got a lot of hard choices to make, and while she usually makes the right one, she makes mistakes too. And then there's Ginny, Luna, Fluer, and even Lavender (who may or may not have died in the final battle).
Harry Potter is way cooler than Twilight. Harry Potter teaches us how to be brave and stand up for each other (and the boys are so handsome especially Tom Felton). Twilight teaches us how to kill ourselves because the guy wants to end the relationship that's mental. Harry Potter is way cooler.

I can totally understand why Harry Potter won. Like they said, it's mostly teenage girls who read Twilight while kids and adults all enjoy HP. I remember 1st reading HP in 3grade and loving it. And I don't think Bella's very strong-I don't think she's all such a good character. I mean,she tried to drown herself just to hear her bf voice (who does that?!) while in HP 7 when Ron left Hermione remained strong and supported Harry. Oh it's so much interesting to watch Harry Potter's adventures, then Twilight's. Harry, Ron and Hermione are exploring, they find traces and it is so fun to watch Harry in the chamber of secret' or when he faces chalenges in triwizard tournament. And there is also a lot of death and we feel so sorry for Harry's parents, Fred, Snape, Dumbledore and ofcourse Cedric (so the comfort for killing Voldemort in the end is barely enough. As for those who say Twilight has no plot, I just have say bullshit. Saying The Twilight Saga has no plot, is like saying Harry Potter has no Grammar. It's wrong, stupid, and a very bad argument. Maybe you should look at Eclipse and Breaking Dawn again to find out how the imprinting thing ACTUALLY WORKS. And anyway at the end of the day a piece of literature is there to be appreciated, and the one thing that’s wrong with Potter is the Potterheads.

1. Don't knock off all the characters just for the main protagonists; remember Carlisle, Alice, Jane, Alec, Aro, Emmett, Jasper, Demetri, and Marcus.
2. Try not to get too grossed out by one unique sequence.
3. Remember a vampire is no more a fairy for having granite in his skin than a wizard for a wand in his hand (though admittedly you didn't say that).

"Harry Potter the first of it's kind" "Twilight is a romance novel" Well... yeah it is, but Harry Potter is an adventure novel. All fantasies have genre's of their own, and adventures go back to the sixteen hundreds. admittedly the layout is different, but that doesn't change the fact it's about wizards on a journey. Twilight is a hybrid of teenage emotions, lust, and old fashioned romantic love. Romeo and Juliet is a story of somewhat similar an attitude. Born and die for each other.
