The private individuals are not borrowing so the government has to get further into debt and spend on behalf of the private individual in order to get the cash into the economy. How else is the existing debt of the private individual going to be paid off if not enough new cash is being created through lending. If the government didn't spend then there would be mass debt defaults and the system would crash into a deflationary depression. This is the flaw of our current ponzi economic system.

Well, problem is we don't have money to pay the caulkers to begin with. But if we did, why not just let people keep their money rather than giving them money, and charging taxpayers for it? That's the best stimulus. If people are paying less taxes, then they have more money to spend freely, so therefore they're spending it at business, which keep people employed, who then have money of their own to go out and spend.

Something needs to change - the current financial system has recently been shown to be a complete sham - an increasing number of new debtors are needed - clearly not possible - then blam the stupid system falls over.
Now they're shoring it up again by simply stealing from the public and beginning a new round of stuipidity.
'The People' need to start coming together, perhaps forming cooperatives - making their local policies based on their needs - remove corporate power over us.
