That means in ten years, assuming they drilled oil, gas prices would reduce by CENTS, it wont make a difference what the US does by itself. If anything your saving single figures for tax exemptions for oil companies. And you know who has to compensate for the tax exemptionns, Yes, the AMERICAN PEOPLE.

simply, no. America has the largest reserve in the WORLD. The majority of your oil comes from domestic produce and Canada(the same thing). The problem is the reserve isnt being used. Drilling offshore isnt the answer now, or wasnt back then. The war, the hurricanes, the demand, caused this mess. Since the reserve is vested in the war they would use it.

no obama only came out with the idea of drilling until much much later after it started to reflect in the polls. whereas when McCain saw the situation arise he came out for drilling. both were not for drilling at the start. however obama waited to see what the polls were saying.

Bill Clinton also later came out and said that whenever something like this is happening that something should be done to stop it. even he recognized he screwed up on that one. he was told by his own advisers what was going on there and how easy it would be to stop it.

All he wants to do is eliminate pharmaceutical patents to free up money, among other things (an estimate by Greenspan himself says this will work). This will also lower the cost of pharmaceuticals while not impeding their development.

You don't seem to see that Obama will free up enough money via pharmaceutical patent elimination for everyone to get the same health care that Congress gets. Alan Greenspan (a Republican and legendary economist) himself says this will work. It's just as much socialism as having the Government regulate businesses or social security. There would be no change in our current free market if healthcare were implemented. If everyone has healthcare, the US economy will prosper greatly.

I don't know what he would do. I assume the first thing would be some sort of stop to trading along that line. You would use pressure first.  However Georgia is an Allie doesn't matter if obama or McCain gets in. someone will HAVE to address it. you say we might have a new cold war...wrong...the very minute Russia did that it happened. so that is a done deal. Putin knows we would only do x amount right now because of the war we are already in but there are things that CAN be done.

The reason gas prices are high is the problems with the middle east.
