Guys....anyone who sees this video and has a question why can't i hypnotise my family members(sister, mom, dad etc) then the anwser is simple...They don't think you seriously or cause anything you do wont surpise them so better subjects are strangers or people you don't know very well...dont try to hypnotise people that are close to you cause it wont work or it willl be just harder ^^ good luck :P
If you want more learning, we've got an exciting interview and podcast series coming up on the official site at trancedout dot-c0m. Check it out, sign up the forums, etc. Thanks.
Been trying hypnosis for the past 2 years but I haven't really been able to hypnotize anyone till this year (however never really had anyone to practice with in the first place), but after I do hypnotize them they don't wanna do it anymore, they say it's a werid feeling, I think I'm doing it wrong cause I was told it was supposed to be a relaxing feeling/experience. Anyone know what might be the problem? (Use a modified Dave Elman induction each time and no deepeners (which could be the problem)
A good pre-talk is vital if your are asking someone if they want to be hypnotized. I think the reason why some dont want to do it with you is that they have some fears. Give them the waking suggestion that it will be pleasent and relaxing, the mind tends to believe what will be realized. You should always deepen to the level in which you would like the state to go. I would have to see your technique.
Is it possible to be induced w/out your knowledge? What are the signs that you have? I have a suspicion that I may have been induced by my Dr. This is why: he was sitting to my right & began to rub my arm up & down. I felt really relaxed & my eyes were 'fixed' on the scar on my arm. He was saying something but can't remember. Then I snapped out of 'fixing' on my scar & he was standing to my left w/out recollection of him moving. I've also developed an attraction to him that snook up on me.
Yes... Just practice the arm drop induction (press down against my hand, press press press, now sleep)... these things are easy actually, at least to me.
You're ready to do all the inductions, congratulations.
But skip that "handshake induction" thing until after you've gained some experience. For some reason newbies are attracted to doing that induction most because they think it's the "coolest" -- well it's also harder to pull off and overrated.
would i be right in saying that this guy had been hypnotised earlier that day? just that you never said anything about being able to stand strong, so i guess he'd had a pre talk sometime?
This was a meeting of a bunch of hypnotists, so yeah he already knew the general stuff. But, I'll say that I don't usually do a long pretalk when doing street hypnosis type stuff. In a clinical type of setting, I like to have them sitting down when I do the instant.
"Instant Inductions Demonstration (Hypnosis)" and thats what we were talking about.I'm not debating you i think we agree, but got off wrong end of the stick. Thanks for your opinion, good luck.
um yeah In fact i know its not that effective because i partook in stage hypnosis and therapy hypnosis, the therapy was far more effective.but it does depend from case to case.
Yes, it does depend from case to case. That is the point I am making. In general, stage hypnotists achieve very deep trances. Go buy Ormond's book and look at the hypnosis scales. Notice which phenomenon that stage hypnotists reliably get, and compare it with the level of trance.
Ok dude but on a practical level (and don't worry i will investigate in that book your suggesting out of interest)it's dependant on the
individual every time i'm more subject to deep hypnosis without the stage environment,as i'd imagine most people would, your normally more comfortable in an armchair in private room than on stage generally.
Is that true? You're telling me "on a practical level" and that it's dependent on the individual "every time" but you only have your own experience to back that up. What makes you think that comfort increases suggestibility?
Hey I've hypnotized people too,but I'm not claiming to be an expert. All we have is our own experience and collected knowledge to back up anything,I'm just surprised that your defending the notion that instant induction style hypnosis
is more effective, perhaps your right.I'd just like to know what makes it so.
Who said anything about instants? You were talking about stage hypnosis, and you said that stage hypnotists don't get deep trance effect. That is verifiably false. Then you implied that comfort necessarily increases suggestibility (depth of trance). That's not true either. And I didn't say either was "more" effective.
Having hypnotized a number of people myself, and using almost exclusively rapid or instant inductions, I am of the opinion that most hypnotists today confuse relaxation with hypnosis. I often leave out any relaxation language for that very reason and also often do waking hypnosis for that very reason.
I would definitely have to say that most stage hypnotists get and maintain a level sufficient to achieve virtually any type of phenomena. Therefore, any changework that they may do will be equal to or better than most hypnotherapists.
It is a good book, indeed. But goes way too far into the 'woo-woo' nonsense that Ormond was so fond of. Hypnosis is not mystical or some type of 'magic' state. It is a practical state of mine that allows real and deep change to take place. Or for the hypnotist to screw with someone's head... ;-)
Any adverse side-effects if someone has been induced once? Do they run the risk of being indused at a later time on accident? You mentioned that once the volunteer was induced once it was easier, so will he be induced by others much easier as well?
And tighter and tighter and tighter and tighter and tighter and tighter and tighter and tighter....and tighter! Lol. Good job man, I wanna learn to do this to people so fast they don't even know what happend. Like just walk up to someone and instantly lock them into hypnosis.
You can go see if it works. I haven't had great success with it and I've tested it a LOT. There's always some sort of rapport building or intro or else they get scared and when they're fearful they won't go into hypnosis.
every one can be hypnotized and if you cant you ether dont have confidence or they dont whant to be if ur into hypnosis then just studdy it and most impotant studdy body language but keep in mind that if they dont whant to be hypnotized then they cant be intill there ready theres no button in hypnosis so you cant get stuck in it wich sucks cuz its wonderfull hope this helps you
Sorry, my mistake i forgot to actually select a rating for the video i had just watched pokerwithoutcards. My comments are positive they are just in the minus 5 section. My sincere apologies. it was silly of me not to rate. i just posted the comment without rating it. Very much enjoyed it shame yah can't read your website blogs with that grey background.
Hello there, pokerwithoutcards. I really did enjoy your video. so much so that i have subscribed to it. so make sure you do a lot more! as for your website with the grey line background it's hard to read the text. do you think you could change the background so people CAN Read-What U posted? (hypnomaina smiles)
I'd say some training is a good thing. Practice is great though, once you have the theoretical knowledge. I think to become a good hypnotist you need training though. I offer seminars and bootcamps.
even though you say training and seminars are good, is it still possible to learn and use this without it, i live in australia and i cant find any seminars or anything..
After a few trials and errors I finally have performed 3 successful rapid inductions. I have noticed that inductions aren't hard to learn, but it is important to know what to do when someone does go into trance. Thanks for posting good credible advice poker and eventually i'll make it to one of your bootcamps.
i have a hypnosis book that covers more then enough about what i need to know in order to get ready for hypnotizing people, but to be able to do that it, it takes a long to get the person relaxed and focused for hypnosis, was it easy to learn this instant hypnosis?, and where could i learn it?
I teach seminars and bootcamps... Books are nice but it's very hard to learn hypnosis from a book. You need to know the tonality and the shifts and what to look for, etc.
It's possible yes. I'd recommend starting with something like the Dave Elman. I teach seminars/workshops on this as well - send me a msg to get on the mailing list.
Personally, I'd say rapport is a good thing. But not necessary. I hypnotize complete strangers from time to time. And do it only seconds after I meet them.
I've seen this, and the other one where you hypnotise your mate. Impressive stuff. The arts of hypnosis and NLP have always intrigued me, and i'm keen on getting involved. Any advice for a budding apprentice?
Hey, I'm still trying to get these inductions to work and haven't been successful so far, but last night I was having a dream where I was extremely angry and then I hugged my really good friend. When I hugged her in the dream I closed my eyes, and as I lost visual with the dream my head dipped back while I was still holding her and I had this euphoria rush over me. It reminded me of your thing with moving the head back. Just thought I'd share.
i've tried all these techniques but im kinda rusty, don't mean to be a real drag but could you email me an like give me some tips and like what i could be doing wrong, here's my email lionr62@hotmail. Thanks
How little is your sis? The thing is, everyone is mailing me and posting comments saying that it's not working for them... To me this is just a type of induction that people can do. You still need to understand hypnosis and how it works and probably be able to convince people that you're a hypnotist and probably be able to actually hypnotize people - or at least it would help a whole lot. I'm not sure what you're asking - could you be more specific?
if you could respond to this tha'd be awsome. what do you do once they are under hypnosis or a trance? I know they are open and suggestable but what does that entirely mean? What are you capable of making them do?
All sorts of things. They are too numerous to list out here. Watch a stage hypnosis show, or read up on what a clinician can do. Stuff like total pain loss, getting rid of phobias in a matter of minutes, etc.
I'd actually put it down to belief. The subject expects to be hypnotised, and you have created a great expectancy that they will be hypnotised. They have either seen a person being hypnotised before, or have been hypnotised before. Combine all these, and any induction can theoretically work. :D I feel like such a nerd ('cause I am) :P
Maybe. That's the skeptic's viewpoint. But energy does exist and what I do with my energy is very relevant to the hypnosis taking place. Those of us that are wired correctly are familiar with "vibes" in an interaction. Even if all my belief does is serve to have me display confidence, there are still many unconscious things happening in me that can't be filtered down ONLY to the subject's belief in hypnosis.
This video is amazing, poker you are da man, put me in your fan list, i tryied to view you last video but not allowed dont no why it says "This is a private video. If you have been sent this video, please make sure you accept the sender's friend request."
I notice sometimes his eyes will open even without your command. Are people able to break out of a hypnotic state at any moment they please? I don't fully understand this process yet because I don't know what it's like to go under hypnosis. It feels like I'm just pretending whenever I try self-hypnosis and I just don't think I'm getting the effect. I feel like if I understood the experience more I'd be more successful at hypnotizing my friends.
Yeah, keep in mind this is a demo for hypnotists. And yeah of course they're able to break out of it if they wanted to, but it feels good so they want to stay there. Also, lots of times his eyes might be open but that doesn't mean he's out of hypnosis. I think this is evidenced by how quickly he is reinduced - and there's lots of stuff on the video that you can't see, like eye movement and flutter.
Can you pleasee give me some text? I would greatly appreciate it if you could help me.
