@666guitarfreak Yup, you got it spot on. I use other amps, modules etc for recording, but that was the setup for this demo.
Regarding tips for making good guitar riffs, I usually make sure it feels really good to play. If it feels a bit clunky or awkward to play, it usually doesn't work, so I like riffs that feel really natural to play.
Also a riff needs to make me want to play over and over again many times - if I get bored with it quickly, chances are so will others who are listening to it.
@mpresev Thanks for your kind comment, much appreciated. I do use minor chords if the song requires, but major, minor, 7th sus4 or sus2, whatever works in the groove or riff is what goes in - cheers.

did i saw it correctly? your'e using cubase as host, reason in rewire for the midi sounds, and you record guitar through a pod xt studio?
