I agree...you should only ever have to upgrade every 2-3 years if you have a decent system. I can get upwards of 20k in 3dmark 06, quad core and 4gb of ram so I'm confident my system is good for quite a while.
Yeah, thanks for agreeing. I had AS5 like oyu've got there and I just applied some arctic cooling mx-2 and it dropped CPU temps about 3c before it set. So you might want to try it, but it might be a mute point with watercooling.
the 8800gtxs are a bit old now no switch to the 9800gtx maybe? not that they are a bad card but there lifespan as a highend card is only another year if your lucky
Why would upgrade to a 9800GTX, if it offers virtually the same performance, the 8800GTX are still 1 of the best cards on the market especially for high resolution, and as for the life span of these cards, like you said they high end cards.. Which means high quality!?, and with my cooling, i can guarantee another 2-3 years..
Next time i encourage you not to assume, get the facts and then post :}
no the 9800gtx is a far better card u obviously have not done ur home work. i mean it clear cuts beats the 8800ultra so obviously its going to be a fair bit better then the 8800gtx. but no i wasnt meaning to be rude or anything i wish i had ur rig man!!! check out mine tell me what ya think
the 9800 is a good card but its not much of an upgrade (jayjaybwoyxx) everyone thinks the because the number is higher its a better card. Thats not true
I saw this case in CompUSA. It had a hinged panel under the side panel with 4 spots to put fans. I'm assuming it came with it and your just not using it?

I just need to know if 2 8600 gts's 256mb can go SLI in the XFX 780i.
merc816 3 years ago
a dumb idea though. very dumb. get one 8800gt for less money. it'll outperform both in SLI
o00JONESY00o 3 years ago
It was only a thought if it was possible or not.
merc816 3 years ago
YES you can
MichaelsInspiration 3 years ago
Could I have 2 8600 gts 256mb sli in motherboard?
merc816 3 years ago

Hi,
I have a Question for you,
Do you like yellow bananas or yellow bananas??

WTF are you talking about?!?!? The GF 9800 gtx is FAR more better than the GF 8800. The 9800's supports allot more features than the 8800's.
SkatanVolcomStar 3 years ago
only if you run vista will you ever get the full allowance of the card other wise its pointless

istead of using exprencive cleaning products, use acetone! works great and will only crew up your cpu if you submerge it in it. worked for me.
