he dida great job on the film, and he had some cool covers, but this isnt one of them. compare this to the original and you'll see how far off it is. he got some of the lyrics wrong too. still great movie and actor though.

Did you know that Joaquin is 5'8'' (173 cm) and Johnny Cash was 6'2'' (188 cm).. A clear height difference if you line up Joaquin next to Cash.. but anyway, those things are irrelevant, his acting and singing is incredible, all creds to Joaquin! And RIP Cash

People don't just like Johnny Cash cause they've seen the movie, and said "oh let me be hip and like his music". It has to do with the fact that people can relate to his music. I watched the movie NOTORIOUS which was about Biggie Smalls, but I looked him up and didn't really like most his music. Stars can only gain more recognition through movies, but that doesn't mean everyone who searches the artist up is going to stay loyal to the music.
