  • i see this building outside my windows everytime i sit to read. It looks good.

  • a way of starring at the wall

  • i miss havin comcast, its alot better than dish network. but here in st louis everything is different. oh well

  • COMCAST IS SLOW

  • COMCAST IS SLOW

  • LOL comcast is really a bad company hopefully that nbc deal falls apart

  • WOW. Comcast is cutting medical benefits and 401k contributions for it's employees. Front line employees are lucky to get a 3% merit raises . But I guess it's more important for this company to build a big fancy TV.

What's the point of this thing anyway? How does it showcase Comcast service? It's certainly an achievement to the designers and fabricators (outsourced i'm sure, since Comcast is not in the business of manufacturing LCD screens).

MONEY WELL SPENT Mr. Roberts! Good Job!

  • Yah, they let a lot of people go to get this office up and running. Ask them how many families they ruined putting people out of business to open this office.

  • Id like to see the multiplex banks and the racks feeding this thing!

  • wow... now that's cool!

  • They should find managers that know how to splice cable. The inhouse guys I have seen are INCOMPITANT BOOBS!!!

  • If you want to see real Comcastic stuff check these videos out.

  • Isnt this incredible! It was done by David Niles with Niles Creative Group.

  • No, it was done by Barco Imaging

This is their video of their installation:

    /watch?v=WSRcDrCse7c

    "The Comcast Center | Barco"

  • Wow, what an amazing work of art that is.

  • What a fucking waste of money.

  • so was the Sistine Chapel ceiling, the percent for art program, that forces corporate centers to put some money into art, may save us from drowning in a sea of beige carpeting, brushed aluminum, and wood paneling.

  • its 3d cool

  • When those gears started appearing, I thought to myself that is an amazing Kinetic Sculpture only to realize it was a video. (A Brother who is an artist.)

Amazing to say the least. When can I have one for my home? Thanks for sharing.

  • bravo!

  • new chrIsTmas Vid BRo fun for whole family

  • just in here today for the phillies parade cause they won the WORLD SERIES!!!!!!! and this is awesome

  • smack my ass plz!!! Z

  • COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL............

  • i was there yesterday, it is so real and when it is done it looks like a real wall. It is convincing

  • impressive screen...like 10X more HD than HD....i Still will continue to use FiOS

  • In this video is an abstract view of the complex advertising scheme they created to impress you with their technical astuteness. I am impressed by the massive and intricate projections on the wall.

  • abstract?

Also, they're not projections. Its a LED screen.

  • not comcast..

  • Instead of fixing their interdepartmental communication problems and customer service issues, they built a skyscraper...

  • compliments of your ever increasing cable bill

  • amazing

  • Thanks Stephan..... Lets not forget Robert Stern, the buildings architect who David worked closely with when designing this thing. BTW the DX-700 is a LED processor. It maps video content to the wall. There is no "imag" used here. The Barco Encore system is the part of the system that has that capability.

  • Indeed an amazing convergence of talent and expertise to make this unique integrated architectural visual experience happen. Great work !

  • Here are some facts, to be specific the LED display and processing was built by Barco, however, the innovative content delivery system and overall conceptual design was done by David Niles, of Niles Creative Group. Who is Innovative Designs? I have worked on this project for a year and a half and I have never heard of innovative designs.

  • Conceptual Design and content are indeed phenomenal and done by David Niles of Niles Creative Group. The LED-system consists of a Barco NX-4 LED product, a Barco DX-700 imag processing system and Barco Matrixpro image switching solution. The architectural mechanical integration (flush with wood-pannels, front access, etc) was designed by "Innovative Designs" an in-house Barco-group yet independent creatively active, led by Frederic Opsomer active in architectural, themepark and Concerts.

  • David Niles is the consultant and designer ! Great visual consultant and designer. The whole system is done by Barco both the NX-4 (best LED product award at last week's industry leading event Infocomm), the image processing with DX-700 and matrixpro's but also the precise mechanical and architectural integrations by Innovative Designs. Congratulations !

  • Hey Stephan, who is innovative designs. I am a producer on this project, for a year and a half, working with David Niles.

I have never seen this name before.

  • You have to see it up close to really get the clarity and density of pixels. Unreal yo.

  • "the best picture quality in the world"?

Not quite, since NHK, the company that made HDTV, has technology that produces 16x the information on the screen than the standard "FullHD" does. So, not 5x better but 16x better.

  • produced a technology is quite different from putting it into real life uses

  • It is a real life use, as demonstrated by it's existence.

  • wow that is soo realistic

  • just cuz filming a 10 million pixel display and posting it on a 76,800 pixel video site makes perfect sense

  • anyone know the name of the song that plays during the second segment (when the people are dancing on screen)?

  • LEDS ARE AWESOME

  • Comcast is the worst company ever.

  • looks like we are going to need them 200gb Blu-Rays in the next few years just to get 20 - 30 minutes of this lol

  • Looks expensive. Glad to know my cable rates aren't soaring for nothing.

  • hahahahaah true

  • those doors shouldn't be there...screws up the experience

  • What causes the images to look "3D"? Is it just my imagination?

  • the fake shadows.

  • damn, this is awesome!!!

  • Wow, I'm surprised they were able to get this to work...now if only their cable worked this good...

  • I hate Comcast also, but this is still awesome.

  • pretty cool

  • Damn!! Jumping Jehosaphats!!

  • I hate comcast but my god this is phenomenal.

  • holy fuck nuggetS!

  • AWESOME BUILDING!

    Build skyscrapers USA!

  • haha my sister-in-law works on the 17th floor...thanks for posting this XD

  • comcast is FTL

  • Is this COmcast as in cable tv and Internet,if so COMCAST YOU S**K, I was a long time customer of Insight and Comcast took over,COMCAST YOU S**K,they have been caught doing many things!

  • I have to say this screen is pretty cool looking.

  • 800 million humans are illiterate. now, justify this 22million dollar screen

  • It's very pretty and poor people are nasty. That works for me.

  • Comcast sucks ass!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I can see a dead pixel...

Oh well, looks like they need to start all over again.

  • Comcast is pure EVIL

  • yeah dude im gonna go there sometime this week. i g to school down by there so ill be checkin this out all the time later this year

  • Dave Niles is a Genius or just plain vidiot!

  • considering that he's one of the first people that started shooting in HD in 1984 (or something like that), I'll say he's a genius!

Plus he managed to sell that monster to Comcast!

  • I know him well we have worked jobs together. I date back before that.

  • what did you work on with him?

  • We shot a major defense project. We were going to start post production on 9/11 but.... We spent the next week getting it together and finally got the job done. David is just a special friend.

  • YES!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR POSTING THIS!!!! I have to get down there soon and see the CC in person.
