  • awsome song

  • The guy with the white suit and hat looks like Guy Cabalerro from SCTV.

  • Girl`s name is Elpidia Carrilo and also appeared in the movie Predator,Greetings and tremendous Video!!!

  • It's funny, before I looked up the lyrics I thought it was, "the race militia has got itchy fingers, all the way from New York back to Attica"

  • super clip .... et super musique !!

  • great song

  • A shameless ripoff of Hall & Oates "Private Eyes" (which was filmed in South America )

  • @mrentertainment43

what the hell are you talking about?

  • same ole shit goin on today in south america....very scary..if there trying to keep americans out of s america there doing a geat job!

  • @scottNcolcty I love SA, have traveled there many times, safely, thank God!

  • Still a rocking track, who would have thought it? The Stones still rule. Gotta listen to these older albums again as there is so much good stuff there to be re- discovered.

  • BASS!!!

  • keith .40! the best guitarman.

  • that girl in the bed, is she the one from Predator?

  • @funkey37 yeeeeeees!!!bravoooo

  • i agree, a gun toting Keith would frighten any potential terrorists right back to there caves...also who is the girl?, in the video, the one at the end with the guy who looks like C Thomas Howell?

  • They came back wild in the wildest of times... The clip was (and is) very actual.. I was so young then.. Never imagined these guys would still rock the stage in this century. Altough it's slowly coming to an end. Truly living legends, these guys.

Who ever lived the 80's, truly lived an exiting transition decade in which everything old was said goodbye to and the new was welcomed.. The digital age, as well as a new way of thinking.

  • @Therealanimale oh bullshit--every decade/every generation is transitional...a lot of the old you think you said good bye to is still around. A lot of what you call a new way of thinking isn't new at all.

  • @BlankUberAlles You obviously didn't understand what I was talking about.

  • This was really a bad ass revival of the greatest rock & roll band alive. I was so young, these guys already had done everything multiple times.. They came back wils in the middle of the wildest of times..

  • thats called bad ass music

  • Smell of sex, smell of suicide...?

  • Funky bassline and echo effects aside, this is still classic stones. Love it and remember it well.

  • Last good song they recorded.

  • @cozener1 ... Liar, they record all of their concerts, everyone of them is great, I'll be seeing them in 2011 it Texas, so will my 4yr old son!

  • one of the best intro`s ever!!!!!!

  • the rolling stones have more hidden gems than black beard's pubes

  • must be so depressing for some kid in the 21st century standing in front of a mirror miming into a hairbrush that every thing has been done and dusted musically decades ago. i wonder what will be the big medium of the 21st century, even with movies, yes now u can create any vision u like with special efx, but all we're going to get from hollywood for the next five years is money ploughed into this 3D gimmick, no innovation there, none in music, somethings going to break, hopefully, but what?

  • Mick the Pimp

  • this could happen in COL done by FARC-EP

  • awesome 80s Stones on some Scarface cocaine style video..they knew about that South American stuff i promise you

  • A very much dissed song. Was so out of step with what the Stones had become. I always loved it though. The last time they put their head above the parapet. The video was banned too, not surprised, in the Reagan wet-dream the world had become, and still is today. I remember buying the 12' single of this on vinyl. Bill's bass was so sparingly funked-up. I was screaming for more notes every time I played it. Love the Stones when they're dirty, offensive and.......vital.

  • Have this album on vinyl..great cover!!

  • Yo tengo el Disco de Vinilo xD

    esta bn cuidadito xD

Suena bn chida a todo volumen esta rola en mi Tocadiscos!!

I have the Disc of Vinyl xD

I like the Rolling Stones xD

  • This is a cool tune! Love it! Also like how "Miss You" is playing at the beginning of the video!

  • None of you know what youre talking about! Try reading the lyrics without watching the superficial video.

  • What is wack is this song got 143 k and Lady Ga Ga got over 250 million on her song? Some thing is not right in our world

  • Directed by Julien Temple...we can see Elpidia Carrillo taking part!

  • creeeeepy video...so violent...gotta love the stones!

  • I remember this video premiered on MTV right after my family finally got cable. They made such a huge deal about it, it was like the most lavish and intricate video made up to that point. Haven't seen it in probably 25 years... meeeemories!

  • One of their best.

  • lol mick with a creepy mustache

  • You have to hear this song while driving any sort of 60's70;s vehicle with a war horse of an engine...one that wont quit, trusty as a gun or a son of one...

  • there best song!

  • This song still kicks ass!!!

  • @drmr007 Hell yeah it does!!! The Stones kick ass!!!!

  • @drmr007 This video kicks ass too

  • Does anyone get the message of this song? I do. Remember the movie, "Under Fire"? The seeds of the Iran-Conra conflict.

  • Bill should've played the dude who gets kidnapped.

  • You can hear "Miss You" faintly at the beginning of the video. This song is just awesome, wish it was more popular on the air.

  • @LuneyTune72 : It's not popular because it was too relevant concerning "affairs of state" at the time. I'm sure it freaked out the people who were behind the arms deals at the time. "Hey, what the *%%# are those ^$#holes trying to do?! They're going to blow our cover and *&% up the whole operation!! DON'T let this song out over the airwaves!!" But MTV showed us and TOLD us. God bless them.

  • thought the latino chick looked familiar...she was on predator...get to the chopper..!!

  • This was actually ment to be the 12 inch remix of Undercover Of The Night, but Mick liked it so much it ended up as the 'regular' version.

  • Who was that teen age girl?

    She was GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @worldcitizenforever Neither ... both are good equally

  • @worldcitizenforever Neither !

  • The Best Ever!! I remember when this was first aired on MTV! I guess I'm showing my age but the Stones are timeless....there is something for everyone when the Stones come to town.

  • @Dean100able : I was mesmerized, and didn't even know why. The message was so OBVIOUS that I didn't get it. ;]

  • This song is exceptional musicianship for a band most people don't think of as a musician's band. Slap bass for heaven's sake! An 80's sound but not an 80's cliche.

  • Monkey man 2:03-2:10

  • They kill Murray Langston...

  • i agree . . it has been so under the radar. . .i like it more than some of the more pop stuff

  • Powerchords from the Stones...The Greatest Rock N' Roll Band On Earth!!

  • Check out maa band :)

  • Why doesn't this song get more airplay?

  • @TheAudivisioner

It was banned from MTV soon after it came out due to the violent imagery...

  • HIt #2 rock, #9 pop in the US (Billboard). How'd it do in the UK? God bless!

  • @DaveWollenberg UK #11

  • @DaveWollenberg UK # 11 , Album # 3

  • great song

  • wouldnt maatter if you had 100 nuclear missles if you are against mick jagger and hes even conscious your going to fucking lose

  • Always liked this song! We used to play it all the time when I worked in a bar at a hotel. The older barmaid would go over and beat the hell out of the jukebox, until she destroyed the record. It was full of skips. She wasn't a very nice woman!

  • great song

  • Wooow nice man...

  • People whisper, people d-double talk!! LONG LIVE THE ROLLING STONES!!!

  • Wow! This is some of the best work from the boys.

  • This video was a freaky one to watch as a kid.

  • I don't give a damn what you just did to my daughter!!! Stop watching my CIA South American snuff video!!!!! F---ing AWESOME!!!

  • Awesome song...

  • Memories !

  • Mick's vocals sounds great in this song.

  • I love this, it's SO different than most of what the Stones do. They ARE The greatest Rock n Roll Band in the World!

  • @randy109 me too It's bad ass!

  • @randy109 acdc is better but i still like the stone alot top 10 but its all aboute taste

alot of people like the beatles better but i like the stone more becouse theyre a faster tempo

  • @randy109 Great video for a standout track. I'm a first-generation Stones fan, and was so pleased to hear and see that in "83 they still outperformed almost every other band out there. Charlie's galloping drum patter propels UNDERCOVER to even greater heights, and they even came up with a nifty video that tells a good story, to boot! Check out the 12" mix, which is even harder!

  • Ez a Reflektor Magazin főcímzenéje.

(This is the title music of the hungarian reflector magazine)

  • az :) én is így jutottam ide

  • I remeber watching this regularly on MTV in the fall of 1983. ( When they actually played videos ) I wanna go back !

  • I remember this video loved it thanks for posting this.

  • Se edito en Noviembre de 1983.Esta cancion alcanzo el numero 9 en Estados Unidos,el Album en el puesto 1 en Inglaterra y en Estados Unidos el numero 4.Datos libro Rolling Stones.

  • Bianca probably put Jagger up to this

    sh%$...

  • Wasn't Bill Wyman still in the band when this was recorded?

  • Bill was still in the band when this album was recorded.

  • Glad we can show the partial nudity and violence version! I think I taped only part of the "clean edit", has the band performing more on camera

  • this is cocaine music... its dirty

  • who teh fuck would let Keith loose with a gun????LMAO I don't think he would neeed one anyway.he's just a scary guy, period.

  • lol, he'd look like Richard Ramirez's cousin

  • he used to carry them you know lol

  • probably their best song post tattoo you except for maybe don't stop or mixed emotions.

  • Love it --- looks like Jagger and Richards can both handle guns - adds to the portrayal for sure

  • Agree Exile, couldn't have said it better. Will add that I'm a bit worried about their silence now...hope the boys are in good health. Undercover is one of my favorite albums. Only a true fan can like Too Much Blood :) Let time be the test.

  • Stone are like a chameleon changing colors to their surroundings. The club dance thing was a phase of rock for bands that were too good for punk. This song has a good dance beat meant for the cocaine club era. It tided the Stones over and, as usual, their talent shined through. It figures that the Stones would even do disco well and be some of the only disco you like. At's what kept the band alive mates. The ability to adapt and change with the times while preserving their talent and fun.

  • get a job

  • @MrSixstringjohnny I'm always hoping to! This video was edited in two versions, one CLEAN, the other with the South American violence taking place. I was trying desperately to get the controversial edit before it stopped being broadcast

  • Great video, great tune, brings back memories. What's the story behind this video? Anyone know? It's got a huge "Miami Vice" look-and-feel...

  • I remember this video as well. Considering that it took place one year before "Miami Vice," it looked more like a story of the early 1980s in Central America. Bearing in mind, I thought it would have made a great movie whatever premise that Mick Jagger and company had in mind...

  • This is one of the better "Stones songs" after their glory days of the sixties and seventies.

  • you said well...after the glory days. is useless try to save this period of the stones, they play like a band addicted to money and attention. when a fan start talking about the video and not anymore about the song that band it's dead.

  • that video it´s a great moments, cause was filmed in mexico, cd satelite, naucalpan, edo de mexico i was in the film

    great video tks rolling stones

  • Tell us more about it...

  • 0:51

"You have the right to remain silent...forever."

  • Keef has said in interviews that his favorite part of this whole album was shooting up the church!

  • RAUCOUS!!!Expect nothing less from the Stones!

  • awesome

    on VIDEO REWIND VHS OOP

    mick gets shot

but he is playing dual rolls

  • I would like to once again thank the Rolling Stones for taking me into that sweaty, revolutionary third-world hell.

  • keith looks so hott when hes shooting the gun

  • The stones are amazing I love this song! Keith is awesome!

  • HELL YA!

  • One of the best Stones songs ever and a great vid

  • LOL, yea. Keith Richards don't have to play fast for no one because he is Keith goddamn Richards. He owns his own island and has his drugs flown to him. Gotta be nice! Great post.

  • Every song on this album is great!

  • Playing fast?

One of the BEST Stones songs and the BEST video.

    All the young girls

    they have got the blues!

  • drums at :32

  • Personally I believe that this is the last great tune the Stones put out and they did have quite a few before it~

  • it is the last great thing they ever did.

  • one of the most underrated rolling stones song

  • @johnnlt3 There is so many underrated stones soongs

  • Incredible. As always, oldie but goodie!

  • This Is a Hard Drivin Tune. My Favorite Stones ; )-

  • stones totally rule

  • that girl who was in the bed was the chic that Arnold took prisnor in that movie Predator.

  • A chrisina Riccis watching tv.

  • this is the last thing they did that was any good. now it's just one greatest hits or live album after another.

  • Steel wheels, my friend...great album

  • JAMES BOND MICK JAGGER!

  • happy birthday ron wood

  • It would've been better to have Bill be the dude who gets kidnapped.

  • 80s Stones kicked ass

  • I always have liked this R&R track by this iconic band, it has a killer groove, and of course, Mick's vocals that fits this track like a glove, fantastic 80's R&R track, no doubt about it!!

  • Never knew this song had a video to it. I liked the song. The long version is hard to find though.

  • Tha'ts Barney Jagger...LOL @00:27 Or is it Mick Fife ??????

I agree with you too xulumeister....He is an awesome bass man in his own way. Listen to the bassline in the long version of "Miss You" . They're basically just jamming and also i like the bass in Start me up.

  • Did Bill Wyman really did the bassline in this song? I thought it was somebody else. Since I don't have the album, CD or whatever I don't know the credits on it.

  • lol@ death squads killing salvadorean civilians. killing communist death squad killers and teachers and breeders maybe but innocents, lol. fucking Left Wing scumbags! you cocksuckers and you're lies!

  • Mick Jagger looks like Barney Fife undercover in that white suit.

  • it don't hurt. ........until it's the world

  • wicked!

  • an underrated song from an underrated album before their "unofficial breakup".l

  • This video is about the 80' war in El salvador and the death squads killing salvadoreans civilians.

  • I always wondered if the bit at the end of the video, where the General comes home to pre-empt the boy's attempts to get it on with his daughter (I always assumed the girl was the General's daughter) was meant to be a homage to Devo's (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction video, where something similiar happens to Mark Mothersbaugh (ie his backseat liason gets interupted by General Boy).

  • also one of the best videos ever...

  • fuck! that bass is badass....

  • Yep! Bill Wyman is the greatest bassist.

  • Scenes in this video remind me of "Bring Me The Head Of Alfredo Garcia", especially Mick Jagger with a mustache and a white suit, ala Warren Oates as "Benny".

  • this song live ROCKS!!!!!

  • Who played Mick's girlfriend?

Who played the fat, pizza-eating cop?

  • i know he is the one that had a t.v. show called cannon though..(the fat pizza eating cop)

  • rodseveer: Wm. Conrad played Cannon, and that ain't Conrad! Conrad was the announcer on Bullwinkle & Rocky. He played one of 2 hitmen in The Killers.

  • That chick sure looks like the actress who played the latin chick on the first Predator movie.

  • Elizabeth Pena. She is hot. She was also in the Salvador with James Woods and Jim Belushi, Down and Our in Beverly Hills with Bett Bidler, Nick Knolte and Richard Dryfus and she was the voice of the enemy turned good chick (Mirage or something)in the Incredibles. She was also in Predator.

  • I think that's Rae Dawn Chong, daughter of Tommy Chong playing the girlfriend but I'm not sure.

  • Dear BLP1261:It's is Elpidia Carrillo. She also appeared in"Predator"(was the girl captured in the guerrilla base)with Uncle Arnie.

This is one of my favourites songs of The Rolling Stones,in part because of the memories it brings me.Back in the day i watched the violent version on RTVE(Spain's public tv).Thinking about the controversy this edit created, nowadays it seems a joke if we take in consideration the level of violence you can get in tv,advertisement, etc.

    Greets.

    DELRELES

  • @DELRELES Okay, thanks!

  • @rotolauth That is sooo fuckin' funny-the fat, pizza-eating cop! Funny

  • jaggers face at 4.33 is classic

  • i can easily imagine this as a movie :)

  • Just how much was the audio sped up for this mix?

I remember when this was released, scratching my head because it wasn't "Start Me Up Part II".

  • giallo e nero con un piccolo neo rosa sulla punta del setaccio, con sentimento acuto proveresti anche altre allucinazioni ma non sempre si coglie tutto quando se ne ha la necessità ......comunque buon provamento estenuante bc a.

  • i remember this video being banned back in 83,although these days it seems apt, keith with a skull mask and a gun, surely he must have liked making this video more then he made out at the time.

  • Stones were sooo good live xD

  • stones ARE sooo good live XD

  • were as in when i saw them ;)

    But yes, ARE. xD

  • keith is perfect for the part he plays!

where is too much blood vid?

  • I havent seen this video in years! Great rythmn, riffs and vocals!! Keep'em coming!

  • there was a live "b" side of this song that was amazing. My local Pizza Hut had it on the jukebox. But I have not found it again for years.

  • woooot!

  • great i think you guys owe it to the world to keep this music alive for the next generation and the one after that, what a great way to remember a great band!

    xxx
