  • a wonderful example of how an artists curiosity can help educate and explore science. We need 100 more of you! You have a bright future young lady. All the best to you :-)

  • Dang. This is really cool. I'm not sure how I stumbled onto this, but I'm glad I did. I've always appreciated "nano-derived" color, but didn't know that's what it was. Thanks KQED and thanks Kate Nichols for opening my mind to what my eyes already appreciated.

  • my inherent technical writer wants to write documentation for this exact process

  • ART WAS THE FIRST SCIENCE

  • KQED i expected more from you, 5:40, this is not surface plasmon resonance that is represented, this is plasma resonance.

If I am incorrect about this I am sorry, please respond to me and correct me...

  • @MaBuSt We vetted this animation with scientists at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratories, and they concurred this was an accurate description of surface plasmon resonance.

  • @MaBuSt “The purpose of human life is to serve and to show compassion and the will to help others.” ~ Albert Schweitzer
