@pistolpeeroy the velocity of the object ball made it in, theres a much higher chance to get a slow ball go in than fast one. these tables are not easy to play(i've experienced them..), though they are comfortable, 'coz they're really good tables.
@pistolpeeroy it went in because of the velocity of the shot. it was slow slow shot. if u hit it even a bit harder than that it definetely ain't going in if u don't hit straight in.
@pistolpeeroy well fuck i commented on you again, theres been over 3 months i read your comment and now i read it again and commented on you again, didn't remember, sorry :)
Of course the shot at 0:16 would never drop on a Snooker table - because no Snooker pro since Alex Higgins even attempts shots like that! That's the point: leaving a ball near a rail/cushion in Snooker is considered a safety - in pool, it's not just possible, one MUST make it, or else one is considered no good. It's as Mike Sigel always says: pool is as if one were eternally putting on the green in golf - you miss = you suck! Snooker pros won't even consider most shots we think of as must-do.
Funny Snooker players fail to recognize the obvious: statistically speaking, pocketing/potting balls is easier on a pool table, just as playing position is on a Snooker table. Why? Because every second position shot is for a choice of reds, or for a respotted "colour" (nicely out in the open where it's easy to pot), respectively - the most repetitive/academic exercise imaginable for us ever creative pool players. Useless to discuss which is more "laughable" - both games have their pros and cons.
pool and snooker is so easy for me that when i play opponents i have to play with square balls to give them a chance. i practise snooker underwater using inflatable balls and a paper cue.
@Kobaganda well snooker is not really as hard as everyone is saying. it's just a different game under billiards title like rally and f1 under motorsport title..
@stardustie A snooker table is 12 ft, a pool table is 7 ft ( in length) The pockets one a pool table are much larger ( in terms of ration) than on a snooker table.
I've played both for years, have trohpies in both ( I'm not world class but I am very good) .. but there is no comparison between snooker and pool.
It's like comparing draughts/checkers to chess .. just because they are both on a board doesn't mean they are anything alike.
@Kobaganda maybe you should do some research before saying anything out loud. the pool tables are 9 feet, not 7. and i said that the pockets are not easy.. by that i meant they're deep
@stardustie A regulation size table in the UK is 7 ft. Obviously different governing bodies will have different standard regulation sizes. I never implied that that was an EXHAUSTIVE list. Pool tables typically come in 7ft, 8ft and 9ft.
@jesusfreak1975 and? that's said in this comment stream already mr. wiseman.. don't really remember writing these, there's been a while but in the world regulation size of pool tables in the big tournaments is 9ft, even in the UK. (that's for Kobaganda)

its a game u play if your at a pub, because anyone can play it its so fucking easy, the pockets..sorry buckets leave so much room for error its unbelieveable look the his shot for instance it cam off the cushion a good 11 inches before the bag whats the point? make the whole table a bag, snooker is a true game of skill, an pool is way harder than this 'game'
You're an idiot. The very thin angle which the 1 ball came into that pocket was why the ball pocketed. Look again. Those pockets are NOT buckets. One thing snooker players don't understand about pool: If you miss, you generally lose the frame. In snooker, you can take 10 shots and always be "safe" because the table is so big. Not much room for error when the table is smaller.
Most importantly, rotation games would be impossible as Snooker players would turn down most of the shots pool players think of as makable, and play safe instead - the only situation in which Snooker players EVER play balls in rotation is the standard endgame situation where (normally) all the "colours" are on their spots (= out in the open/off the cushions), and no wonder that part is considered a matter of course among good players!
the reason y the pockets r so big is the balls r big 2. if snooker players r so much better y haven't they ever won the championship. hope u's all die a horrible death 4 being so stupid. btw a dog shit is worth more than ur life
thommac 1 you really are an idiot. why would a player with any skill want to play this game? It lasts 2 mins max per frame, you can't have a decent skilled game of anything in 2 minutes!! Its always the same, americans reinvent something brittish, claim its better when everyone else thinks its worse.. and they still think its better!!!! I find that funny.
Amazing how they can go on about these player like they are gods, when I played I played no different and the pockets were tight and not buckets like these tables and the Yellew that was cut into the top pocket is a piece of cake, I just could never take the game serious. Jump shot should be banned, Reason? what is the point of a safety shot when most if not all opponents can just jump the ball, another of US crap rules...
Its some great cue work, snooker is the harder of the two sports i reckon, but you cant really take anything from these guys considering if any of us tried to do what they can easily, enough said really, and the commentator actually makes it fun which his exubriants, class to watch!
